I posted a meme of a Biden/Harris campaign slogan...it was meant to be funny by whomever created it and it made me laugh. I have read numerous hilarious memes about about Trump's undeniable/despicable involvement with Stormy Daniels... and LAUGHED JUST AS HARD AT EVERY ONE ALSO. I'm not apologizing for laughing at any of the above but am of the personal mindset that our current political situation has deteriorated into a surreal scenario so pathetic (ON BOTH SIDES) that I need to keep my ability to laugh even when the situation makes one sometimes feel like crying. LOL I won't be imposing my warped political sense of humor on the board going forward.

Maybe we need a disclaimer with every post.
Nothing personal, political, offensive was meant by my statement. It is my opinion and not the opinion of this board. It is to be taken at face value. No underlying content is implied.

When 62% of Americans are to scared to voice how they feel politically we have a problem.

I just thought it was funny...no more, no less. What I don't think is funny is having to hold my damn nose to vote. I'm really tired of that and my age realize it may be what I'm looking at the rest of my life....might as well recognize it for the pathetic joke that it is.

Facebook jokes should stay on Facebook imo. Not necessarily because they are political but generally because they suck.

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend"

Sad that this old proverb is how nomally reasonable people have been forced to reconcile horribly bad choices for leadership for centuries.

Both sides are absolutely ridiculous. Both love to accuse the other side of the exact same things they’re doing.

You won't have to hold your nose this year, we'll all be forced to wear masks in the polling locations, and you're not supposed to touch your mask.

Probably not. I watched Scrubs lately and the sexual harassment would have people outside of ABC with pitchforks. We still got Tosh, Jeselnek, and Chappelle though.

You SHOULD have said .. "17 ‘em .. they can’t take a joke!" They truly lack ANY sense of humor!*

Carell has mentioned several times now that one of the main reasons for him not having interest in an Office reboot is for that exact reason. They just wouldn’t be able to get away with that writing anymore, and it’s a damn shame because it is/was hilarious

It wasn't funny.

I wasn't offended in the least. It just wasn't funny.

It wasnt a pun, it wasnt a play on words of another sorts, and it wasnt creative.

I laugh at quality memes that make fun of Biden. I dont look forward to him being president and the obvious low hanging fruit can make for funny memes.

I didnt laugh when I first read that dumb campaign sign when the Rockets photographer posted it and the joke first became popular and it still isn't funny this time around.

Post something funny and ill laugh.

Too bad it isn't a higher number. It's a shame that we live in a world where #wrongtrump started trending on twitter after news broke that Trump's brother died.

That's fine. Some Dems have no moral standing to judge others.

Bill Clinton is speaking at the Democratic National Convention. He was accused of rape and sexual assault by several women and he's a friend of both Harvey Weinstein and Jeffrey Epstein (didn't kill himself). Crickets from progressives because orange man bad and progressives don't point out or even recognize their own double standards because they're convinced they're morally superior to others. God I want college football this fall.

It’s a one way street these days. Liberal street. It’s all good if the person being made fun of is a conservative, there are no rules for that. We all know the gag.

Don’t care about the meme, if it was funny, Kamala, or if liberals don’t like it. I thought the message was if it doesn’t affect you personally it shouldn’t matter. Suck it up buttercup.

When do you all think it will be ok to call Biden or Harris some of the absolutely nasty and disrespectful terms that are used on every social or media platform about the President of the United States. We've always made fun of or put down the POTUS in the past but never with such viciousness.

I have several problems with Trump but I've still tried to be respectful. As much as I absolutely despised Obama and second term Bush, I never resorted to such sophomoric ********.

It's also a little bit different when individuals do it (there are idiots in the world), but when "professional" journalists do it without end it's ridiculous. A good example is CNN; just sign up for telephone headline alerts and see.

Never bend the knee. You don't need to explain anything. You don't need to qualify what you think is funny. I bet some of the people complaining are the same ones that have no problem with Lena Dunham and Katt Williams being offensive.

Obama was called horrific things on social media. Your lack of awareness doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Point is- its already happened. Obama's immediate family has been attacked with rumors and shallow comments. Obama's extended family was dug into and rumors were spread. Obama has been linked to totally baseless worldwide conspiracies. Obama was compared to Hilter, Stalin, and others in memes and cartoons.

Im busy today so in an effort to preemptively respond if you answer with- 'well but Trump has it worse'...
- maybe he does and it's because there is more social media now. Thst means Biden will get it too since social media isn't going away.
- maybe he does because he engages with the public in a combative and antagonistic manner on social media.
- maybe he doesn't and you just didn't recognize what was happening during Obama's 8 years.
- maybe if Trump didn't stand in front of the press and continue to spread rumors(fake news) about people and make fun of private citizens in front of crowds at rallies, then he also wouldn't be attacked on socail media as often.

Viciousness breeds viciousness. Its a terrible cycle that I am ready to not be trapped in.

Speaking of CNN. Did anyone see where the commie news network had a panel of five talking heads spend 15 minutes shrieking about how Tucker Carlson's slight mispronunciation of 'Kamala' was actually racist and then the very next day sleepy joe pronounced it EXACTLY THE SAME WAY! Now that was funny as hell.

You are right about that but its a bit different when it's not individuals on social media but supposedly reputable news organizations pumping the venom. They have done this at some level for every conservative in the past 30 years. I think its gotten so bad now because unlike all of the rest that just sat there and took it Donald Trump hits back and hits back hard! In doing so, he has really pulled the curtain back on the so-called unbiased media and exposed them for the one-sided liberal water carriers they really are.

All of this^^^
I don’t understand how someone can purposely attack anyone that says anything negative about something they have done on social media but plays the victim card on how they are treated.

Also we have heard the rhetoric of the discourse has never been so uncivil in the last 20 years. It’s just more pronounced with social media and 24/7 news. Until Mike Pence and Timothy Geithner have a duel, I still think our politics are more civil than in days past.

You've clearly misapprehended Trump. He is a master at manipulating media for his own objectives. Without getting into whether those objectives are right or wrong, nobody has had a command of the news cycle like him. He is not a victim. Sure sometimes it's reactionary but he says controversial things and floats controversial ideas to elicit the vitriol he gets. The vitriol in political discourse I fear is the beginning of the end but it is embraced and inflamed by the president. Others do it too, but as president he should be above it. He has no interest in that though.

I'm sorry but Obama was the hero of most media outlets during his tenure. Sure, he caught crap from the ultra right guys out there but he was treated like the Messiah by the big media outlets.

Show me where journalists and television talking heads talked about Obama with the same viciousness as relentlessly as they have Trump.

And yes, he does spout out some stupid ****, which is my biggest issue with the guy, and deserves some of the flack he catches, but saying Obama was treated as badly is so disingenuous it should get you an instant job on CNN.
