Watching the Snow Bowl on SEC Network....

A few observations about that season:

1. That team with a little luck could have won every game.

2. Only SEC team that beat UF and AU

3. Last good team we had until Mullen.

4. Still one of the best bowl games I've ever watched.

5. I was in Central MS that night and remember it snowing there after the game too.

Overall a great New Years Eve.

That game is starting to become the 1980 Alabama game in attendance... But let it be known for all eternity I was there and I didn't where any socks. Best in person game of my life in any sport.

That was a title caliber team....

Our defense had taken a big step back from the legendary 1999 team, but was still pretty solid. Our offense had taken HUGE steps in the right direction, however. Dicenzo Miller was amazing!

Forget the NCAA, Rich J. banging Zena Reb, etc. in the following seasons... Jackal made a mockery of his career in 2000 all on his own. We manhandled 2 of the best teams in the country (auburn and FL) and then lost to the 4 worst teams we played that year. I’m still not over that **** show against The Pig17ers that year in the sleet.... and then Fant came in the next week and imploded against the Bears.

What should have been a season to remember for all history was a turd in the punch bowl. Thankfully, we got to play Aggy in the bowl game.... this sums up MOST of their football seasons.

That last call - fake screen left, fake screen right, Donald Lee wide open in the middle - was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

I did wear socks. They didn't help much. It was cold. And a LONG drive home. Finally found a hotel with a vacancy near Monroe at 4AM. Went down to breakfast at 9 and it was a sea of maroon in there. Lot of fun though.

“Dicenzo Miller was amazing!“

Agree with that all day...every day! Outside of JJ, one of the best I’ve ever seen!
