Are we a better program than Nebraska?

FWIW, ESPN shows Nebraska with 28 active NFL players compared to MSU's 38.

Big Ten commissioner: Nebraska can't remain Big Ten member if it plays football this fall

After twice evading the question on the Big Ten Network, Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren, in an interview with Yahoo! Sports, said Nebraska is not allowed to pursue a fall football schedule after the league chose to postpone its season until spring 2021.

"No," Warren said to Yahoo! “Not and be a member of the Big Ten Conference.”

All the chips are on the table. Don’t bend the knee Nebraska. The eastern Midwest doesn’t appreciate your folksy white boy vibe anyway.

They would only go to Big 12 if they were put in the "Longhorn" payout tier. That was the issue with the big 12. Tier 1 is Texas.....Tier 2 is Oklahoma....and Tier 3 is the rest.

They are better off financially staying in the Big 10 and playing in the spring, but the Big 10 might want them out since they are not a member of the AAU which was usually required for Big10 universities. It hasn't been a great fit for Braska as well as them struggling competitively. They will prolly leave soon, not sure where they land. PAC 12 could expand. Colorado is already there.

Big 12 (especially Texas) treated Nebraska like ****. I doubt they would go back over a one year delayed season.

this .... Texas treated all the teams like that ... Nebraska makes more money in the Big-10 than it would in the Big-12 ....... The Longhorn network has some type of deal with the conference (and it obviously favors Texas) that was just unacceptable to those 4 teams that left the conference .... no way they will go back until that can be renegotiated.

If West 17ing Virginia can be in the Big 12, then anything is geographically possible, conference-wise.

Nebraska isn't leaving the Big 10. Like you said, they're making more money there than anywhere else they could go, possibly even including the SEC. That's one thing I really don't like about college football these days. It's all driven by money, which sometimes leads to mergers that make sense, like Texas A&M to the SEC, but sometimes leads to some that don't, like Missouri to the SEC, West Virginia to the Big 12, Nebraska, Rutgers & Maryland to the Big 10, etc.
