I was between him and Jason Day. Day seems like a good dude who’s had a rough year or so.

On a different note, what has happened to Jordan Speith. Kid has completely lost it the last couple of years. It’s tough to watch him play right now.

Speith needs to take a full year off and completely re-work his game. Maybe hang out with John Daly some to gain some perspective.

I think it started when he got engaged

I’m guessing she nags the hell out of him and threatens to withhold the goods every time he tries to go practice. I think that’s standard practice once you put a ring on it.

If you're a Champ fan check out his Instagram. Dude loves his trucks. He's just a big kid that hits the golf ball really far. Hard not to be a fan. I'm rooting for Dustin Johnson. I love watching the Pink Panther and he's had some tough finishes in majors before.

He had a major championship game and swing, and lots of trophies and money, which wasn't enough. So, he wanted to make his swing even "better". At least the guy who taught him this new swing got paid it would seem. Speith is another who is going backwards. Very much like Ian Baker - Finch, who went from being one of the best golfers in the world, and then deciding he needed to hit his driver further. Changed everything about his game and simply wound up unable to even compete in the bottom echelon pro golf.

Call me whatever you want but it makes me happy that Golf is outdrawing the NBA multi millionaire social activists. Golf has rich people for sure, but I have yet to see rampant grandstanding and virtue signaling from these guys.

It's nice to see rich sports figures just play and not tell me how horrible I am.

Rolling with Cam in the final round. One of the other vendors I’m very close to on the road is bff with him. Pretty normal guy from all accounts that seems to have “it”. We shall see.

It's been more than a couple of years. I think he's distracted at home, and it could be that he has all the money he wants, he's reached his goals already, and just wants to play these days. With very little practice.

Bingo. Exactly. And Cam has a huge identity politics angle to play the he absolutely hates and golf itself has thusfar avoided to their credit. He will have to cuss espn when he wins this though

Either that, or he just doesn't care all that much and can't remain focused. Maybe he should go back to his original coach. He's not going to hit the ball as far as others and doesn't need to be intimidated by them. He had one of the best iron games ever when he was winning.

Absolutely. Plus, they don't get paid unless they win (unless they're famous enough to get the big endorsement contracts). It's one of the few sports left that you have to perform to get paid.

What is his issue? Gotta say I've never heard of him.

Didn't notice. Regardless, he can't change that so I couldn't care less. Is ESPN giving him a hard time over that? Tiger is 50%, and I guess Varner is 100%, and they both play a pretty darn good game.

He’s 50% African American. But you are the right. It shouldn’t matter and from what I know of him he’d vastly prefer that it didn’t.
