The Rock buys the XFL for $15M

[Seinfeld]

I just can’t wrap my head around the ongoing appeal to businessmen for these perpetually failed football leagues

[DoomSlayer]

It still has to be approved by the bankruptcy court. If there is a thought it will bring more at auction then the sale might not go through.

Ballers coming to fruition.

Everything Rock touches turns to gold. I could see this working if he’s heavily involved. Hell, I would watch a reality show that gives access to The Rock in his role as commissioner and/or owner. On the flip side, outside of WWE, everything Vince McMahon touches turns to ****. Any update on Oliver Luck’s lawsuit against him?

[PineGroveBully]

What is a prison going to do with a football league?

He paid too much!

[Tin Cup Cowboy]

I hope he turns it into a minor league for NFL, not a direct competitor. Could sell franchises around the country, allow HS seniors to be drafted and be paid.

Then college football could work like college baseball, as someone suggested in the Pack 12 thread. Not holding my breath though.

And if approved he will get a good price and buy it with someone else money.

Good lord the Rock is going to make billions of this deal. That dude is a social media genius. The man knows football too (he played at Miami) and his football agent show Ballers on HBO is pretty good.

What does he get for his money?
