put out an appeal for prayers as he has COVID. Say one for him PLEASE if you are a believer, or even if you aren't. I believe the Lord listens to those too. He is a really good guy and lives about as far out in the middle of nowhere as you can get in Mississippi. If it can get to him it can get to all of us. I also have close (not in my household) family member fighting it now too. Pray for her. PLEASE don't let this degenerate into the usual political BS. List those you know who are facing this and prayers for them.

Any idea how he caught the disease? Does he travel into riskier areas, was he careful, etc.?

I certainly hope it's not found to be an airborne thing.

I don't know if he travelled but I doubt it. Where I live is town for him unless he was on vacation. It doesn't matter, I live in backwoods MS, and we had a very early outbreak. That's why y'all never took me seriously, but I never cared. I knew what we were going through here. It's just starting to hit the state as a whole. Hopefully we have learned some things .

Most people take the virus seriously. Dont throw out your shoulder patting yourself on the back.

Sorry about your friends hope they get better soon.

There have been enough argumentative (and moronic) posts on this board to put serious doubt on that statement.

My people who I know who have had virus count is at 19... the only death was my 90 year old 2nd cousin in a VA nursing home. I talked to one person last nite at a baseball game who had the virus about 3 weeks ago. She is 48 years old and works in healthcare. Her symptoms were sore throat, loss of smell and taste (which she still hasn’t completely got back) and 3 days of just being able to get out of bed to go to the bathroom. Besides the not completely getting sense of smell and taste back she is back at work and feeling fine. Neither of her two sons who are 20 and 22 who were quarantined with her got the virus.

Prayers for your friend. Nothing political about this virus if you have had it-I’m speaking from personal experience. I started feeling bad 3 weeks ago tomorrow and am just now feeling better. I live out in the sticks, too-but my wife runs a nursing home and I got it from her. She was asymptomatic, but with her being tested every 5-7 days she tested positive. By the time we knew she was positive it was too late. We have been sleeping in different bedrooms since this started, and have been staying as far apart as possible. The worst I have felt in my life-no sense of taste or smell, so no appetite. Body aches, fever, shortness of breath and horrible cough. Nope, it’s not political at all. It’s just a really bad case of the flu. I’ve lost 2 close friends to it-both of them in their late 60’s. Take that for whatever you think it’s worth.

My sister was diagnosed last week. Early 40’s and has rheumatoid arthritis. She had a headache and very mild fatigue for 2 days. She also take plaquenil, which I’m guessing is why she had it so easy.

Everyone I know of has had it so mildly, while all you’re familiar cases seem so severe. That’s so strange how differently it affects people.
