Who’s likely to be the starting QB after this year? I wonder if we just throw out Sawyer?
If the discussion of concentration camps in China makes you uncomfortable, or you just don’t want to discuss it, you know you don’t have to post in the thread...right?

In B4 the lock! Don't worry though the NBA players will attack this subject right after they get the Police defunded.

For the first time in months, sports are actually coming back. Live sports. I’m 17ing tired of this political **** on a Mississippi State board.

And yes...concentration camps aren’t cool.

And I don’t think the practice of concentration camps is political.

Karl and company will be here shortly to educate us on how these aren't concentration camps, they are reeducation camps.

That's been going on for awhile actually, but it never gets much attention. Occasionally, you will hear about the Chinese purging of the Uighur Muslims, but it's sad that no one seems to report much on it.

The Chinese also return people that escape North Korea or sell them into the sex trade.

But yes, one more reason why the CCP is an affront to civilized people everywhere.

Chances are, whatever electronic device you made this post with has components made by slave (or at least, slave-like) labor in China.

The new version of the infamous “Do you still beat your wife?” question should be directed towards China and phrased at such, “Did y’all use your slave labor concentration camps to create the Wuhan virus?”

They also allegedly harvest organs from the Uyghurs and Tibetans and give them to the Han Chinese. Too bad no one is going to do **** about it, because American politicians are all owned by corporations that benefit greatly from Chinese slave labor.

The way we (Americans) continue to buy stuff from China knowing full well how they treat labor is going to be a problem one day. I could easily see a situation where generations look back and think what the hell did we allow to happen. Apple had to install nets around the factory that makes their products because so many people jumped to their death.

Wow.

I’m 100% going to start focusing on products I buy. New Balance shows are made in America, that’s going to be the primary shoes I buy.

It’s a shame media doesn’t alert the public to how bad it is.

I obviously knew that people in China worked for cheap...I had no clue it was basically concentration camps and slavery. I imagine most Americans are like me.

I hope trump drives up tariffs on China so 17ing high.

if he does that ****, they might unleash a virus on us! **

good on you for starting with the shoes...but it’s impossible for you to completely cut off your support of China with the products you buy.

You think people are going to not stand in line for iPhone12? You could show the Chinese Govt. torturing iPhone assemblers and the Woke would still be standing in line for the latest.

This country is not ready, and could not handle a total trade war with China.

We are the Frog. They have succeeded in boiling us.

Do want American Made? Or Cheap goods?

I heard about this recently. **** going down over there make it seem like just another day for Jews in Hitler Germany.

The US recently refused a bunch of hair extensions because they came from their concentration camps.

Yup, some things that are happening in China are unconscionable.
That country is creating wealth left and right for some, and creating horrendous torture for others. In some instances, the first is happening because of the second.

This **** isn't new and I doubt it ends soon.

Media has alerted the public. This isnt a new issue. If you havent heard, it is most likely because not many outlets focus on this for long, but its been documented by the MSM.

Not all work over there is basically concentration camp slavery, but working conditions even close to that are obviously wrong.

Your last sentence is absurd. Tariffs make US citizens pay more for the same thing and the government just keeps the extra money. There is no benefit for consumers as many things that they buy from a china will continue to be purchased because either the stuff just isn't made elsewhere or its still cheaper even with the tariff.
Limiting the buying power of US consumers who are already struggling to stretch their dollars isnt a great plan, especially when the extra costs just go to the government.

You do realize consumers pay for tariffs, right?

So while we in this country are busy shaming every person or entity that has ever been associated with owning slaves, China has slaves RIGHT NOW? And the NBA, media, and Antifa are good with that?

Yeah, I still don't see the problem. It certainly raises prices on consumers. If it raises them enough, someone stateside will have the motivation to fill the void and these giant multinationals will eventually be compelled to build it here. The opposite of what China has been doing to us for as long as I can remember.

You know what stifles American innovation? Having a great idea, going through the process of legalizing and protecting your idea here at tremendous cost, ramping production, and as soon as sales volume can be detected by some incredibly advanced algorithms they have running on every sales site on the web -- your exact design is copied and repackaged at 1/5-1/10 the cost by the Chinese and sold on the exact same websites. They don't give a damn about your patents and there's no one there to crack down on it. By the time you go exhaust legal avenues for no gain, they've flooded the market with the product, and you are ruined with no hope of being made whole. This happens to hundreds of thousands if not millions of Americans every year. And Trump is the first person that's tried to do ANYTHING about it. You want to know why Nike, Apple, etc are in bed with the Chinese? This is why. It was a game even they felt that they couldn't win in opposition.

Oh, it gets better. One of the leaders of BLM was just arrested for sex trafficking. So basically, a leader of BLM was arrested for modern day slavery. Let the irony wash over you on this.

No, it’s actually Trump that is okay with it. He told China it was “exactly the right thing to do.” He’s holding up doing anything about it because he doesn’t want to affect a trade deal.

And Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, AOC, and the rest are all ok with what Muslim countries do to its own citizens subjugating women, minorities, and gays. Don't believe me make a critical remark around one of them and see how fast you are called islamophobic.

.

This is where you are wrong. What actually happens is the giant Multinationals increase production in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Africa. As Wages there are still a tiny % of what they are here. The US still gets cheap goods, and the multinational corporations still get a huge profit margin.
For athletic shoes, Asian factories make 5,000 shoes a day with 500 workers making $2 a day in the US the workers would make at least $80 a day to make the same 5,000 shoes , Or you could have robots do the work and employ 50 people making $400 a day in the US and make 10,000 a day. Or put the same automated plant in the Dominican for $200 a person.

I'm pretty sure no one is going to pay 40x more for the shoes.

If you don't like and approve of slave labor stop buying Chinese products. That's how they are so much cheaper. And these woke companies such as Nike and Apple can make huge profits by using sweatshops and slave labor. So naturally they love it. Most Americans love buying cheaper products and don't really care who did the labor. We are all too busy crying about how oppressed our own people are who actually have a higher standard of living than most of the world even on food stamps and welfare

My point is I would rather American companies not do business in China, period. I understand that’s not something that can happen instantaneously. I hope we maintain our current trajectory with them.

Yeah, we can have a giant pissing contest about which party supports the worst ****, or just take a step back and realize that both parties are seemingly holding marginal domestic economic concerns in a higher esteem than how many citizens of non-ally countries are being treated. Scared as hell of pissing off OPEC or the country that holds $1 Trillion in US Treasury bonds.
