Anybody remember when the place beside Little Dooey was The Pub? I’m guessing it was 2003 Or 2004...
they had a drink called the pickled pig. It came up in conversation the other day. Anybody on here a former bartender who remembers the recipe? They used to get the job done, and fast.

Don’t remember that one. I remember around 02-03 they were known for one called the Drunken Monkey. Had several long nights there with a Drunken Monkey in my hand.

Loved that place. Don’t remember that drink but had some damn good times there. Best part was living close enough to walk. We wore out happy hour regularly.

You sure you aren’t thinking of the Boar’s Head that was owned by the Little Dooey. They had a 32 oz drink called a Pickled Pig. One shot each of white rum, clear tequila, triple sec, gin and vodka, topped off with Sprite and a splash of grenadine added for color. Guaranteed to make a good night shorter.

I recently learned of a slight variation to this called Adios, MFer. Drop the grenadine and substitute blue curaçao for the triple sec.

I don’t know what was in them, but they would 17 you up. That drink is often included in “my worst night in Starkville” stories.

Only time I’ve ever been to the ER for alcohol related incident was due in part to a Pickled Pig. Rough night.

5th of Kentucky Beau....pigs can't handle their liquor.

Best advice is get a good looking one...most pigs don't need liquor.
