Unlike the Wrangler, the Bronco has an independent front suspension that Ford maintains is better for high-speed desert running[/QUOTE]

thank goodness...cause we all need that.

I like the 2 door. Here’s Car and Driver on it:

Interesting Note - they’ll have a 4 door model too. And it’ll be it’s own brand - Bronco, not Ford. Theyre going after jeep with a vengeance. It’s gonna take some market share away from jeep that they’ve been way to comfortable with for too long. I feel sure the Bronco interior will br way nicer.

I had one question after seeing the early spy photos...but this confirms it. The rear door opens from the “wrong” side....it opens from the left, not the right. Not sure why they did that...

Why is that wrong? Wouldn’t it be more convenient to open on the driver side?
Not if you park on the curb, and need to unload stuff. The GX 460 is the same way.
Honestly, if you don’t live in a city and don’t have to park on the street, it probably won’t be an issue for you.
I do, and we have to park at least one of our vehicles on the curb.
This truck does interest me none the less, but I don’t understand why a vehicle made for the US market has a rear door that opens that way.

It opens the right way so it won’t be out in traffic. Not following your logic here.

Regarding the rear opening door, I don’t think that was ever a consideration of Ford - parking along the curb. I mean if you’ve got a car behind you, you may not be able to open it anyway depending how much space you have- no matter which side it opens from. I think they changed it for the same reason that vehicle manufacturers changed the gas cap door from the passenger side to the driver side. It’s all about driver convenience and not much else.

Looks cool. Having owned a few new Ford's in my life, I would wait for the 2022 model. There are going to be a lot of recalls on the 2021.

As a Chevy guy, the new Bronco looks decent.

Chevy should be ashamed of the Blazer they rereleased last year. Just a shameful effort.

This will eat Jeep market share no doubt. I’m a big Jeep guy and this is a really nice entry into the market.

A raptor version in 2021 sounds mean!

Was hoping Ford would make a grown-man Bronco again. This looks like an updated Bronco II; a toy for kids.

Maybe GM will drop a new 2 door Tahoe one day.

I had a 69 Scout 800A with the rare 314 in it. That thing was built like a farm implement, and pretty much drove like one. That's one I regret selling, that and the 58 VW camper van, complete with factory pony keg storage and built in beertap.

Not sure why they did that...

Because that’s what Jeeps do...

Very nice touch that on a 4-door, you can remove all 4 doors and take them with you in the cargo area.

Old 302 V8 with 132HP / 246 FTLB. New small 4: 270HP/310FTLB. V6 - 310HP/400FTLB. If they decide to drop the 5.0 V8 from the Mustang in it: 460HP/420FTLB!
