If true, very good news. Also there was a bunch of excitement last week w/ local doctors at UMMC about 2 very common drugs that seemed to have a huge impact....seems like it was Zyrtec and something else? I heard that last week from 2 different physicians here in Jackson - one in private practice and another one at UMMC. Surely someone knows what I'm talking about. The 2 doctors whom I heard mention it, were really fired up about the prospects of it.

meanwhile I read an article about proton pump inhibitors possibly contributing to infection; some theory about reduced acid and the virus incubating in the gut...

The theory is that it they help reduce inflammation. It was something that they were studying prior to Covid as a treatment to reduce inflammation and it effects on eye disease, it think

I know a mom group that can hook you up with some essential oils...

I mean, if you think all those doctors are just stupid and are crazy to think that antihistamines would limit harmful immune reactions by your body, sure, they're the same thing as essential oils.

Interesting. I skimmed over it but not sure I understood it all. I seem to remember reading in the past that there is some controversy about the melatonin that your body produces as opposed to taking it as a supplement. Supposedly one of the biggest factors in your body's ability to produce melatonin is how much natural sunlight you get during the day and limiting the amount of blue light you are exposed to at night. One thing interesting about that is the amount of sunlight helps with other things like vitamin D production and supposedly the vitamin D or lack of is bad with Covid

I’ve been taking Vitamin D and 2000Mg of Vitamin C along with a Prevacid every day now since late March. The Prevacid was already a 3-4 times a week thing anyway.
I’m not sure if it helps at all but I figured why not.

Well, I take 4x the recommended dosage of Zyrtec daily...

so that just pumps up my bullet-proof mental image of myself.

Seriously, though, my allergist was pretty much "Zyrtec can't hurt, let's see how much helps", and working up to 4x gave me the ability to be outside quite a bit except during tree pollen season (I add Astepro for a couple of months). Still have to be careful with things like mowing or hanging out for 4+ hours during the summer. Officially, 5x didn't help any more than 4x did. It's nice to have an objective doctor who will think outside the box.

Let’s just hope that Trump doesn’t tweet something positive out about it. These options will be abandoned in a heartbeat if so.

No worries about that. He's too busy with the negative attacks on the science experts who are not in line with his political agenda.
