It’s OK for Ole Miss fans to like things about Ole Miss and Oxford. And it’s OK for them to be proud of those things.

It’s no different than you loving things about Starkville and MSU (all of which are certainly worth loving, I’m sure). But, just because you hate Ole Miss and don’t like it, doesn’t mean others can’t. It’s a crazy argument.

No rational Ole Miss fan thinks that The Grove somehow means they should win more Egg Bowls. But, they do think it’s a really unique and nationally beloved place to tailgate. Archie was also good. But, outside of shooting out Eli, it would’ve been hard for him to help us win Egg Bowls after 1980.

Look, I hate Ole Miss more than most state fans, but the guy made a decent response. Why drag it into the racism spectrum. I’m so sick of this racism crap. Can’t we all just be people?

Disagree, once again, I can’t stand Ole Miss/ University of Mississippi. It is not because of their name, but because of the people who associate with them and those folks’ typical attitude and snooty outlook on life.

Their name has been in place a long time. It hasn’t stopped African Americans from wanting to play there. It isn’t hurting anyone. It is just a name.

Keep changing things and you’ll lose the draw towards college sports. Specifically some of the traditions and pageantry that go along with it. It is what makes college sports special.

This probably won’t be popular on SPS, but it is the way I feel about it.
