Not in Mississippi, but we went to a countywide mask requirement late Tuesday. Today I went to Publix, Costco (for new glasses), and Barnes & Noble, and didn't see a single person without a mask. So folks are complying. I believe it's a misdemeanor to not wear one in a public building, subject to a $500 fine.
We'd done really well in this area at first. A lot of that is because there are a lot of government and government contractor employees who knew they'd get paid regardless, so they pretty much stayed at home. Since then, we had a partial reopening that pretty much morphed into an "all is well" opening, back to normal. It's analogous to Casual Friday, that turned into casual all week, then to anything goes.
People not being careful and not following masking advice are paying for it now, and are forced to mask up. We're still better than other large areas in the state, just not as good as we were.
Which 13?
Arkansas ... no teeth... add a penalty.
I'm a bit of speed reader, but from what I see, are you hinting that Arkansas is going to try to implement some dental hygiene laws? I'm a fan, but I think that will go over like a turd in the punch bowl with the locals.
Tate's nibbling on a turd. When you have to eat ****, it's best to take big bites and get it over fast.
Uh, well... That's one way of putting it. I will try to get that taste out of my mouth though.
