Buy some wide heavy duty foil for the drip pan. I foiled for 6 months. Stopped foiling and started scraping. Then my high temp cooks started turning black from the grease jumping off the drip tray. Back to foiling. You’ll want to cover the entire inside of the tray.

I just bought some. I’ll replace it before the next cook, I figured I might be okay for this one because I went straight from seasoning, to the bacon, to the ribs. Nothing like breaking in a 3 day weekend being bourbon drunk and eating ribs at midnight!

All the ribs have been devoured by me and my neighbors. I’ll do the spatchcocked turkey tomorrow, you have my contact info, if you want me to do more. I’ll do it I just want to experiment. Right now I’m swimming in the pool. You know what is weird? Because of SPS, when I see a mole cricket in the pool, and I force it in the skimmer, it gives me so much pleasure.

She’s a beauty, man! Sounds like the ribs did the trick, and let us know how the brisket turns out. Burnt ends with some of the point are delicious, and I’ll mention again that if you wind up having any left over, throwing a few slices in a crock pot the following day for a few hours will make some of the best BBQ nachos you can possibly make

I’ve had a 10 lb butt on mine since about midnight last night, and my mouth’s watering already!

That’s the 590? How many slabs could you do at once? What could you fit if you also had a 10lb butt smoking? I’m getting this or the 700 for my kitchen when we build soon
And what made you get this instead of say a traeger

You could fit 4 racks on it if you wanted to, the only thing is you can’t put the food too close to the edge because the convection will burn it.

I’m about to add the Bullseye. That is if I can catch it in stock. Wife wants to use my 700 but she has problems opening the lid when the grills hot.

You or anyone who has one, how hot can you get it to sear or does that need to be done on some other type of cooking device

I bought a package that had the grill grates. Haven’t needed anything else.
