Desoto, I finally sprayed MSMA in an inconspicuous area yesterday. I’m pretty amazed how it knocked our Buttonweed and clover in 16 hours. Buttonweed isn’t listed but damn it kicked it’s ***. Thanks for the recommendation.

Awesome. The VB might come back (It probably will. That **** is some tough stuff.) but just hit it again and eventually your grass will help choke it out.

If you can find some “weed and feed” that has dicamba, quinclorac, and mecoprop you will be set. It will get rid of anything else that might pop back up.

Hit a bermuda grass lawn with a hot dose of MSMA and everything will burn (Including the bermuda). Wait a week or two and put out some 13-13-13 right before a rain, you'll have the best looking lawn in the hood.

Not safe for those turf grasses. Bermuda only.

However, MSM (leave off the A) is safe for centipede and St Aug (I think). The label does list a temp restriction, but a lot of folks still use it with acceptable results. I only spot spray with it this late in the season.

Centipede grows slow and therefore has a poor rate of recovery from injury. Be careful.

People who spray yards for a living have more issues with centipede than any other lawn grass.
