No wbk tourney. Talk about an economic impact among other things. Great work, Mississippi.

How do us out of staters help pressure?

Talk about an economic impact. Great work, Mississippi.

I've been mostly silent bc I'm not a MS citizen any longer. But I love MSU and Starkville, so now I feel like I have a right to provide input somehow.

So - how do those who are not citizens help move this along?

Well, at least now that OM is into baseball, maybe some of their old farts will even get off the sidelines to try and get the flag changed. Regionals and Super Regionals are the best sporting events MS has.

You don't. A majority of the citizens of my state are already taking care of it. The people who want it to stay are now in the minority in the state of Mississippi.

It took me a while, but even an anti-PC, anti cancel culture, non-woke, MAGA/KAG, flag standing, dude like me understands that it needs to go and why. It will be changed soon enough and we will have a flag that we can all be happy with.

So if this doesn't work, how long before athletes are allowed to transfer with an automatic waiver because of the flag? How long before no NCAA sanctioned games or events allowed in the state?

Write them and tell them you are a billionaire Republican who only lives out of MS because of the flag.***

Lets all roughride down to J-town, climb that flagpole, and light the sumbitch on fire this afternoon. Then stick an MSU banner on it and dare someone to say something!

How many other schools will this effect? USM has hosted regionals. I’m sure delta state has as well. Do any of the smaller schools host anything that are regional ncaa championship type stuff?

It's time to call your State Representatives and let them know it is past time to make this change and not to even think about putting it on the ballot. The Current Flag was chosen by the Legislature, they should step up and make the change. Bully Bloc should endorse this change and inform any official not supporting this, will be challenged next election cycle.

Its a shame that it wasn't already changed. Now Sankey will get credit for the change.

Yeah, MSU, Ole Miss AND USM are all capable of hosting a regional any season. When I checked Mississippi Today they had a list of whom they've contacted and each House and Senate members position. So far, most of the people saying it should be a vote by the people or don't change it are Republicans. To her credit Missy McGee and I think one other Republican have said they think the legislature should change it. Most all of the Democrats are already on board. We as conservatives who want to see the flag changed need to push these off the fence.

They should block Facebook from everyone in MS. Then, we will see how much the flag means to them and their grandpappy.

Mississippi deserves all of this.

I've contacted both my rep and senator and neither have graced me with a response.

Good news for Hoover Met.
Oh yeah? Better give the tourneys to Starkville, or else the outrage mob may find out the Hoover Met and the whole damn city for that matter may need some attention-(**) Gonna cut and paste an excerpt from William Hoover's BhamWiki page:

"He was also a leading opponent of racial integration. He joined with other area businessmen to found the American States' Rights Association in 1954. The group sponsored the publication of Neo-Nazi literature and radio broadcasts by Asa Carter that attacked local voices of moderation. As the association's president, Hoover openly speculated on the need to forcibly remove African Americans from North America. He founded the Hoover Academy in West End in 1963 as a segregated alternative to Graymont Elementary School, but enrollment suffered as white families moved out of the city instead."

If they find this ****, Polk lives in the area and has some experience removing names from stadiums**

So now the NCAA can arbitrarily single out and punish schools because they don't agree with the state politics of the state where the schools are located ? Might want to get some popcorn ready....this could get real interesting before it's over.

the entire state of Washington....you are on deck. Pennsylvania, you are in the hole (being named after a "colonizer"), University of Vanderbilt (bye), University of Virginia? more like university of white supremacy....it goes on and on and on...treat your fellow man well and none of this matters.

and I don't know of a school in the SEC that has done more to to treat our fellow men (black people) well than MSU yet we are being threatened with punishment for something wrong, no doubt, but TOTALLY OUT OF OUR CONTROL. There is just something wrong with this picture to me.

I’ll trade the flag vote for reruns of the “Dukes of Hazzard” put back in TV. Or is that too much to ask?

Don't think this is a politics thing. Unless those politics are of the pro-confederacy variety, in which case, maybe it is. Definitely not arbitrary though. I think they made their reasoning clear.

I assumed the town of Hoover was named after President Herbert Hoover. Since that's not the case, they'll have to rename the whole town, not just the baseball stadium.

In basic training if one person screws up, everybody pays. It makes you put peer pressure on yourself and your teammates to do what you're supposed to. This is basically the same idea. Punish all the schools then that makes all the school supporters put pressure on the lazy ignorant politicians who should have corrected it.in the first place.

I emailed Steve Massengill and Nicole Boyd....NO RESPONSE....

told them that we elect leaders to lead, and not hide behind a people's vote...

Not a word....this was before NCAA cracked a whip on our heads
