We can work from home or come to office. Our choice. We've implemented a much more relaxed policy regarding in-office attendance that we are going to continue from now on. Basically, COVID gave us a good test run in teleworking and proved that we can remain as productive and profitable.

September is the first of a 3 phased back to the office approach running through December for the entire workforce to be back in the office.as normal?
Are you in sales? I don't see people being nearly as productive at home unless they are in sales(paid on commission) or their pay is tied to work productivity.
Some jobs can be work form home 100%, but many can not. I am a healthcare executive and not many of our staff can work form home, if it all.
It's funny. Most posters here are saying they're as productive working from home (and I know that some studies back that up), but virtually everyone I've talked to who's tried it says the opposite. Personally, I can't imagine I'd be anywhere near as productive working from home.
I think this is the answer, and like most things in life, reality is in the middle.I think the sweet-spot for my position is WFH approx. 40-50% of the time.... so about 2 days a week would be perfect balance. Could work 100% remotely, if needed, but being in the office allows me to tie together loose ends, so it needs to be done every now and again. On the flip side, one of my subordinates, with same workload and workflow, has been at home since March 18th and has been running at approximately 80-90% productivity, which is about the same for the entire company. Our drop in productivity has been totally tied to the general COVID effect much more than inability to WFH. We've seen things ramp back up the past week or two, so I would not be surprised if everyone is running close to 100% now. I know I am.

I expect more of this. I expect one ripple effect to be commercial real estate taking a beating.
ETA: not immediately, but moving forward as contracts expire, I expect them not to be renewed for the same amount of space.
We are back, never were completely out, but it's anything but normal. State mandated not normal.as normal?
I think its confirmed how much wasted time there was in many offices to begin with. I do get just as much done at home...and have had time to help my kids with lessons and learning when needed thru each day plus accomplishing a random house task like laundry or whatever each day.
Obviously jobs are different and experiences vary.
