He might be a genius or a quack. I don't really care for purposes of this discussion.
I proposed a set of very reasonable questions and would like to know your gut instinct answer. I won't post research or articles. They are simple questions with simple answers. What are yours?
Here's my response to your questions:
1. No, I don't have it.
2. There's no settled debate on this. It's obvious that if you sneeze a loogie, your mask is going to catch it. But cloth is porous and the virus is microscopic, so you are still expelling it into the air whether you're wearing a mask or not.
Nobody really knows anything. CDC came out this week saying that you are less likely to catch this from touching hard surfaces. And this is after weeks and weeks of hearing that this thing can live for an unheard of number of hours on a hard surface. CDC has changed their opinion on masks a couple of times.
My point here is not to say you should wear a mask or you shouldn't. My point is so many people here are beating the drum that everyone needs to wear one, and if you disagree, you're an *******, or if a doctor says it doesn't work, they get discredited.
If you feel like you need to wear a mask, wear a damn mask. If you're not and you sneeze in wal mart, I seriously doubt you're infecting three aisles worth of people. The apocalyptic and dire descriptions of this thing have been proven less and less true as we've gone through this.
In short, I'm going to use common sense. And everyone else should too.
