is wild.

No spitting, chewing, drinking in the dug out.
No licking fingers for grip.
No talking on the base paths.
No fighting.
No in person meetings.
No lineup card exchanges.
Few players in the actual dug outs.
Other players in the stands 6 feet apart.
New ball if the ball is touched by multiple players.
Players wash hands ever half inning.
No leaving a hotel without approval.
No house keeping at the hotel.

You would lose me at the first rule. I’m not sure I’d know how to play without a mouthful of sunflower seeds.

No drinking in the dugout? That should go well come June.

So they’re going to stay sequestered in a hotel for 6 months? I’m sure that’ll work out well. **

Baseball should just get rid of people in the dugout except the skipper and assistants. That way the players don't have to pretend to give a ****.

Same here.

I don't understand how anybody could play a game of baseball without a chew or a dip.

No spitting in the dugout? LOL! That's a good one.

They basically already do this, very few balls are in play for more than a cpl pitches, but most of that list is retarded. That list wasn’t compiled to protect against disease, it was compiled to protect against litigation.

Every ball in play IS touched by multiple players. The umpire hands the ball to the catcher who throws it to the pitcher, and unless it’s hit in the stands then the person who fields the ball. That means every single ball is touched by a minimum of 3 people and as many as 5-6.

I dont think a pitch that isnt hit is considered in play. But id have to see the manual. Plus the example in the article is a single

yeah it's kind of insane. With most sports you're just going to have to find a way to have it mostly "normal" with a few added safety features and understand that everyone playing it determining it's an acceptable risk.

There's just only so much you can do in a lot of areas. I mean I'd agree to all this to make my $5M salary but I'd still think 75% of it was just overkill

So if Football follows similar guidelines I assume that means no huddles or tackling

^^^^This^^^^ Plus QB’s lick their fingers nearly every play to get a better grip on the ball....can you get Caronavirus from sweat? Dak can sweat with the best of them. Then there are other nuances of football like the occasional nose rocket...

What about locker rooms? They gonna have to dress at home or hotel or dress in shifts in locker room?
