2B Scott Dubrule from Jacksonville University has signed with us. He’s a grad transfer. He’s been their starter the last 2 years. Excellent hitter and defender. He had the walk off hit versus Florida in February. Immediately a starter for us.

Former player Brian LaNinfa posted on my Facebook page that he’s a great player and we will love him. He went to same HS as Brian and Jon Knott.
I wonder if this was a done deal before or after Land decided to transfer. Wish I could be a fly on the coachs’ wall.
Idk, but we are a baseball destination. We should be able to cherry pick the best jr/srs off a lot of teams if needed.
If he hits like either of those two guys we are lucky to get him. Seeing that he is a middle infielder I doubt he has the pop they did though. Both those guys hit some monster home runs.
No. Coaches knew about Land a long time ago. Once the season was over, they started on getting the 2021 roster in shape. Seems our players announced at the end of school but our coaches knew long time ago.
I think it was 2005 or 2006 but I saw Laninfa hit the longest HR I’ve ever seen at the old Alex Box in Baton Rouge.
Any insight on why Land wanted to leave? Any insight on a possible landing spot for him? I’m guessing that he committed to Cannizzaro?
It was purely a personality issue, he just didn’t fit in. Right now his only option to play next year is JC. I don’t exactly remember but I thought it was right after Cannizzaro. But Gautreau was there
