There it is

Bunch of cya steps and then the real issue. The last point: risk analysis must be done.
The first item listed to do a risk analysis on: economics. The NCAA isn’t about money, it’s about the student athlete**

I fully expect the ncaa to cancel football. The sec should then play an all sec game schedule with no fans in the stadium. What could the NCAA do? Kick out the golden goose?

I think the SEC is playing. This may be the opportunity for the Power 5 to tell the NCAA to kick rocks and do their own thing.

Power 5 except maybe the four Pac-12 schools residing withing Comrade Newsom's borders will be playing football this fall barring significant growth in the # of individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 in the next 6-8 weeks.

Things will have to improve in Michigan, New York and New Jersey for me to feel comfortable saying those states are playing.

Isn't Syracuse the only P5 school in NY? I think i have seen where upstate NY will begin opening up mid to late May. Rutgers is allegedly the only P5 school in NJ. My opinion is that Michigan & Michigan State will play football if the rest of the Big 10 plays.

Yes. It seems unlikely to me that Washington and Oregon would play without California though. I think the PAC12 championship game is in Las Vegas this year. So, they catch a bit of a break it’s not in San Fran. That’s construction hasn’t been significantly delayed.

Pac12 and Big10 have some real unknowns right now.

I had the forlorn hope...

the authorities would simply advise anyone with preexisting conditions to stay away from campus settings (and work with them on the financial requirements for schooling), but in today's world, I didn't expect otherwise.

The chance of a person from 0-29 to get the virus, exhibit symptoms, and require hospitalization is less than 4%, probably significantly so.
When you move the category to collegiate athlete with no underlying conditions, that drops even further.
More importantly, the risk of mortality is infinitesimally small for that category.

Play ball.

HOT TAKE - if Ohio State plays football this fall & Michigan does not - Trump will win Michigan again in November.

NCAA will get on board or lose most of the P5. Schools aren't going to take the losses by not playing.

Heard some talk football will start in February....

My neighbor told me there was a rumor up here that Keith Carter has told some folks privately that football would take place Feb-April for this upcoming season.....I downplayed it as complete BS, but have now heard that three more times, including my auburn buddy who lives in Mobile...so there may be some truth to it....but who knows...

Woody Hayes could win the State of Michigan if their politicians say no football while Ohio State is playing.****

Would football overlap with the other sports? That would be an orgasm of a sports weekend; Men's B-ball, Women's B-ball, football and baseball, all in the same weekend.

Determining whether games can be played in front of fans is a lower priority.

"I think realistically having a football game with 90,000 fans, that would take a remarkable turnaround in a short period of time,'' Hainline said.

He said it would take massive immunity, a breakthrough in treatment of the virus or the ability to rapidly and efficiently test people as they enter stadiums.

Hainline also consults the U.S. Tennis Association, which runs the US Open in New York. That event draws hundreds of thousands to the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center over two weeks. As of now, the US Open is still scheduled to be held Aug. 24 to Sept. 13.

"Having a full-fledged event with a full stadium right now, that's just not what people are talking about,'' Hainline said. "It's getting the sports going.''

Who's to say they couldn't play all away games I'd bet the players would rather play all away games than trash a whole season

I don't think we play at all.

You think folks are protesting now. Let there be no football. They are not stupid. There will be football. Some schools may not field a team , Schedule could be shorten or change, they may only let season ticket holders in the stadium, it is hot, it is outside, the NFL and College football will take place in some shape or form.

Football is happening in the Fall. How can a college say it's ok for students to be on Campus, which many have already said, but not ok to have Football?

Announcement should happen by Mid June.
