Not to get too sidetracked, but I always wondered why Bob Marlin HC at Louisiana Lafayette never has got a serious look from MSU for coaching vacancies... he’s from Tupelo and a MSU grad and a pretty good coach.

Normally I'd like a full roster but that's if we had a coach that used a full roster. Howland doesn't use more than 8 guys and signing a full roster only seems to add discontent at the back of the bench so until Howland wants to start using the back of the bench more there's no need for it.

If that is who we end up rolling with we are severely, severely limited in depth and experience. That roster would struggle to go .500.

And I'm saying this as a guy who's excited about our signings and think Cameron Matthews in particular is going to end up being a steal for us.

We are definitely limited in experience especially on the bench. Seems to be a catch 22 situation for us. Recent history has shown us if we sign more guys we're gonna lose more guys end of next year. I think Howland is gonna have to start playing more than 8 guys or he's gonna end up in this never ending cycle of the back of the bench transferring out every year.

That’s a roster that might go .500 overall. Matthews, Garcia, and Post are all projects. I think Smith will make an impact right away, but I’m not expecting him to be an All-American or anything close to that.

I think Stewart, Molinar, and Johnson would be decent players, but Ado just kinda is what he is, and I just don’t buy the Tulu hype at this point. You’re talking about replacing our best post player in years with a transfer who averaged three points a game at Western Kentucky.

I'm aware of who he is, I just didn't spell his name correctly.

I guess this helps highlight my prior point- there isn't exactly much hype around him.

Maybe he will join a long list of players whose names are misspelled by posters here. Riek/Reik. Sidney/Sydney. Hansbrough/Hansbrough. Etc etc.
