I've predicted for a while there would begin to be signs of mutiny and uprising if this thing lasted more than a month. You can't just chain folks down like this, and if they don't truly believe in the reason, they will buck. It's only the beginning, good or bad. I believe at some point, we have to choose between the risk of this virus or the global economy shutting down. However, you know there are some 3 letter federal agencies and some political operatives that are taking really good notes about how much liberty and freedom we will give up at the drop of a hat because they said we have to. The longer this goes on the more I wonder if it would have been better to shut down EVERYTHING for 2 weeks, INCLUDING stores and take out restaurants. Basically act as though we were being Hit by a nuclear bomb, a real war - on our soil. Obviously medical personal like hospital workers and nursing home workers would have to go to work. Yes, civil unrest would have cost lives, but 60,000? The death total from CV would have all but stopped after 2-3 weeks as the virus would have died quickly. It would have been hell but it would been over much quicker. Ppl would have still gotten their 1200 dollars plus as well. As a whole economically we would have come out better I would think.
I was called an idiot for mentioning this by some here but if this goes on for another month or so or Perhaps even long enough to bankrupt the nation then Unfortunately our ignorance, mine included, in the matter is what killed us all I guess.

That is only if you think that the virus was going to vanish into thin air after two weeks. If it is around (and it would be) then you are somewhat delaying the inevitable. You might have been able to take the initial pressure off the health care system, but short of a vaccine/cure, this thing is going to continue to spread and kill until enough people have immunity.

Shutting the economy down completely will not eradicate this virus. Our only two paths back to normal life are herd immunity or a very effective vaccine. Have you seen how effective the flu shot has been in the past few years? So I guess that leaves herd immunity. How do we gain herd immunity? Well by allowing our young healthily population to intermingle, get exposed, and build immunity. So basically we need young healthy people to go back to life but more cautiously. 65+ or those with preexisting conditions should continue to shelter in place.

I know what Gates has said... I just don't have a problem with the general concept. I do believe in digital medical records as a general concept. In that mindset, I am not scared of a digital all clear certificate... Not because I am for govt control, I am just completely against idiots that will refuse to get the vaccine and keep this **** circulating for that much longer.

Also, we already have the mark of the beast. It's a 9 digit number that you are given at birth. Without it you can't start kindergarten, get a job, driver's license, passport, loan, bank account, or even prove you are a citizen.
