‘No matter the context for many Americans the image of a noose is never appropriate…’ According to that logic, there should be no photographs or other representation of a noose or a lynching in a Civil Rights Museum, in any Museum of History, in any history book, in any documentary, or in any movie, etc..
I guess Cohen never cared for "Gunsmoke," "In Cold Blood," "Hang ‘Em High," "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly," "The Ox-Bow Incident," documentaries, books, or history.
