Seems he must have taken the last 8 years off as there is no mention of his employment during that time. We will never find out but something really changed in the last month between Vic and IB. I just never in a million years would have thought Vic would have handled things the way he has. Hope he wins just enough to keep his job and loses just enough to regret ever leaving.

Somethings going on. Not sure exactly what but why would Vic leave now at 59 with his best chance to win the NC the next two years for a rebuild job at UT??? Even if he didn’t like Cohen, which many coaches don’t get along with their boss, they look at their pay, support, resources and talent. It just doesn’t make sense for Vic to leave now.

Correct. I’ve always tried to cut through the petty BS that homers immerse themselves in and be as pragmatic as possible. I view this situation no differently.

People take different jobs all of the time. And it almost always is because they view the new job as better than the old job. Doesn’t always work out that way, but it seems like a good idea at the time.

If that kind of approach bothers you, put me on ignore or simply don’t read it.
