I'm just thinking out loud here. This CV has caused most of the world to at least partially shut down. Many, not all, believe it came from one location and most likely intentionally. If that is true, this would be the largest, most significant act of terrorism ever that I know of.

If any other act of terrorism caused even a portion of this much impact, we would have bombed the crap out of them by now. Other countries would have likely done the same.

So, is it that there is little to no evidence that this was intentional, we are scared of what's next if we start blowing stuff up, or what? Everyone seems focused on dealing with the aftermath (COVID - 19) and no one seems to be attacking, literally or figuratively, the source of the issue.

Occam's Razor say, of any given set of explanations for an event occurring, the simplest one is most likely the correct one.

1. China virus is naturally occurring;
2. China virus jumped from animal to human;
3. China communist tried to quell problem internally;
4. China communist lost control and lied about human to human transmission;
5. The whole world has been ravaged because Chinese communists are lying sacks of ****.

I think it’s dumb too, but it is the perfect set of circumstances for a good conspiracy theory. What Shmuley said is likely 100% accurate. But if I’m throwing my eggs into the crackpot theory basket, I’m going with Hong Kong suppression tactic gone wrong.

From the Chinese perspective

What went wrong? Looks like they were successful to me.

So are you suggesting we attack the animal in the market that gave humans this ****?

In all seriousness, you just said this is most likely intentional and also said there is no evidence that its intentional.
How do those jive? Dont seem like they can.

I don’t know if it’s intentional. Likely isn’t. What is intentional is the way they have handled it. Lies and withholding information which is just more lies.....

They need to held accountable for this.

I’m not suggesting that it should be acted upon nor do I even remotely think it will, but I think this is a legitimate casus belli.

And for the record, I do not endorse the OP’s bioweapon theory.

So eloquently put. This is how it happened.

We're going to beat it first, but there's going to be a stiff price on what the mishandling and lies have done to the world. By the time it's over there's going to be a bunch of pissed off people in every nation on earth including their own I'd think...

If someone wanted to start a global pandemic on purpose, they could just ship a bunch of packages of a virus via Amazon to select parts of world.

I would not normally give bioweapons theory much consideration on an issue like this. But, an retired navy coworker that spent a lot time in Asian lands told me when the first mention of CV came out, even before it was spreading to other countries, that Wuhan lab has been producing bioweapons for years. They were "observing" it when he was associated with the area.

So, whether it was intentionally produced (bat theory a hoax) or was intentionally mismanaged after fact (lots of lies), or just mismanaged out of careless stupidity, there should probably be consequences.

Also, if you think it is completely impossible that Chinese govt would/could do this intentionally, I think you are naive.

Russia and DPKR are also claiming they have little to no cases and have control of the situation...see a trend? China didn't purposely cause this but it has been shown time and again that communism breeds a state of lying that is beyond ridiculous. How long did it take the USSR to own up to Chernobyl.

I don't think they're competent enough to do something like that.

I'm now of the opinion that seeing what was going on, they decided to lockdown because they needed to keep their own population from seeing the scale of the disaster and they lied about the numbers to attempt to gain a worldwide propaganda victory. The first could start unraveling if they decide amongst themselves to count who is now dead. The second is a way of saying that the Chinese way of doing stuff is superior to western democracy.

The rest of the world is seeing through the second one now. They may have stopped the spread when they went on lockdown, but no freaking way they have fewer deaths than Italy. And hopefully when the dust settles the people and governments of the West remember that we cannot trust the Chinese Communist government.

Globalism won't die. We just need to keep China out of it.

If it was intentional you expected China to own it?

I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion from my post. I wasnt making a comment in the post, I was asking how polar opposites can exist.
Dont read into it.
