This Fall

I hope this thing doesn’t last more than a month. Otherwise, this Fall, when the Season tickets go out, the Ticket office is going to have to ask: Are you liberal or conservative? And then they will have to sit one group on one side of the stadium and the other group on the other side. Because I don’t see any way this fan base, is going to survive this pandemic with nothing else to talk about on message boards.

And then at a game, if a conservative ends up next to a liberal and some political crap is brought up, one is going to stand up in front of everybody and piss in the other ones drink.

We cannot discuss the Coronavirus without it turning political, so maybe message boards need to be like bars and church’s. Closed for 2 months until everybody cools off.

Honestly, I just want to see 60,000 in the stands again. That would indicate that life is back to normal. I don’t give a damn about anyones politics or really politics in general, I just want life to be normal again. Hailstate

Tbh I miss the days when we were arguing over the men’s basketball team and if they deserved to play in a packed hump.

It really was a fun basketball season, and I’m glad it ended on such a good note. Should be a fun team to watch next year.

I would give less than 50% chance of NCAA Football this fall...

I've been going to State football games since the 80s. I've sat on the east side mostly. Rarely does another stranger (and state fan) hAve any type of conversation with me other than about football. It will be alright.

with that said, I have a feeling..... everyone will be so freaked out about this thing spreading again.....Nobody is coming even if we do play. It's to easy to watch on tv and not catch a virus.

It would be nice if this global pandemic could bring us together and bring back civility. Probably not possible. I'm just glad I don't live in a big city like Portland where there are angry, violent protests every day and the law enforcement is too scared to make them stop the insanity.

Not just football, but if the whole thing ended today I can see how it'll take people a long time to be comfortable just being around someone else. "Social distancing" may be becoming ingrained.

Man I doubt that. People will be so hungry for sports, or any entertainment by then, that the first game will be a sellout. People shouldn’t stop living their normal lives because of this.

NOT SPEAKING FOR ANYONE ELSE, OK... but to me a silver lining to this nightmare would be for college athletics to "sober up" and do some re-evaluation of itself. The expenses, from coaching salaries on down, have gotten out-of-control, irrational and absurd. May be a good time for a long needed "belt-tightening". aGAIN strictly IMO....now get off my lawn.

That is exactly what the cow bell is for. I had an Ole Miss fan sitting next to me,,, which is bad enough ,,, at the Egg bowl, and when Ole Miss started driving down the field near the end of the game, he was going berserk, but I didn't hear a word he said. That is what the cow bell is for, social distancing for the ears.
