I hate messaging like that. Don’t be a prick about and just put your head down and do your 17ing job.

What? Whether this is an actual or written by someone else America needs to listen to this. All of the leaders and experts are saying over and over again, there is not and will not be a shortage of food and supplies. Please do not hoard these things!!

If it ever stops raining we will be in the fields growing our crops. I don’t need a pat on the back.

Dumb message and thread.

I know dozens of farmers and speak with hundreds each season and I cant imagine any being so bold or passive aggressive. Even if some feel they are unappreciated(and some for sure do), I dont see any saying something like this.
Its just tacky.
Also, look at who often supports farmers and who often is arguing against policies and funding that helps farmers.

This is way too political a topic and itd be easy pickings to continue, so Ill stop.

ANF is a long supported saying for a reason.

This was written by a very close friends wife on her twitter. They farm 2,000 acres of corn in LeMars Iowa....

Because my family and I farm and I’m very proud of that. We will do all we can do to get through this and produce the food, fuel, and fiber that we all need. That messaging comes across all wrong to me in the OP.

They farm 17ing corn and are talking about being unappreciated? They are probably the beneficiaries of the most wasteful and destructive cronyism in the history of the world. WTF would make them feel appreciated?

I don't have any ill will towards farmers but I will agree with Desoto that if messaging like this was out there consistently, I'd probably develop some.

It's kind of a humble-brag, and also very much not true. I promise you there's going to be some farmers and farm workers that are out of commission and unable to get out and plant this spring because they get coronavirus.
