Totally agree, if by chance you are saying this from the perspective of someone who still doesn't get that Covid is a really big, deadly deal.

Yeah people are overreacting big time. If they cancel the NCAA tournament I’m going to meltdown

I am all for doing everything possible to stop the spread. The quicker we can get the virus under control, the quicker the market will rebound. As a retiree, market dips like this are unnerving. If I was in my 30’s, wouldn’t care. Plenty of time to recover. In my 70’s not so much. I can put up with cancellations if it helps contain the virus.

ESPN radio reporting essential personnel only at NCAA tourney games. SEC going to follow suit tomorrow?

Yeah. I'm in my early 50s. My mother is in her late 70s and my stepfather is 80.

A lot of folks here know I love to go to concerts. I'm holding off on new ticket purchases and am seriously considering skipping shows that I've already gotten tickets mostly because I've not yet heard from places about their Coronavirus preparations.

For me, it's a consideration since I visit my mother and stepfather fairly often.

It makes sense to cancel a parade that takes place 11 days after the event its celebrating.
Now if the parade on the 17th is cancelled, well then that's good reason to be annoyed!

Well, that'll just mean that the cancellations worked. Better safe than sorry.

If the events didn't cancel, and the virus spread like wildfire because of certain events, then the same people would be saying they should have canceled.
