Auburn could easily lose to Tennessee. Florida loses to Kentucky. South Carolina and State both win. The one least likely to happen is Georgia beating LSU but it's possible.

Didn’t realize we were the last game of the day, so we will know a lot about what seed we are going to be before we even tip off Saturday evening.

I cannot believe we are the last game of the day. I refuse to support this team until we play at a decent time.**

If you had told me before the season that we’d be in a battle for 2nd place in the SEC going into our last regular season game, I’d have assumed that we were looking at something in the 4-6 seed range for the NCAA tournament.

It’s crazy how this season has worked out

It’s frustrating, but when looking at the last 4 in, the recurring theme as that most of those teams played 20-21 total Q1 and Q2 games while we played just 16. The only team that also played 16(Cinci) went 10-6 while we went 7-9

At the end of the day, the SEC having a down year did us no favors, and we frankly didn’t take advantage of the opportunities we had

Agree. We have no reason to complain. Yeah, the weak SEC schedule didn't do us any favors, but we didn't take advantage of the opportunities we did have to help ourselves, which makes the 2 Q3 losses that much more damaging.

Teams that lose to LaTech, Ole Miss and New Mexico State end up on the outside looking in. I don't know what's so crock-ish of **** about that.

Scenario cheat sheet...I think this is how it works:

5 way tie for 2nd - MSU is the #5 seed (no double bye)
4 way tie for 3rd with MSU, USC, UF, and either Auburn or LSU - MSU is the #5 seed (no double bye)
4 way tie for 2nd with MSU, UF, LSU, Auburn - MSU is #5 seed
3 way tie for 3rd with MSU, UF, Auburn - MSU is (I think) the 4-seed because all would be 1-1 against each other and UF would have the worst record against the 1st place team (0-2, vs. 0-1 for MSU and Auburn).
3 way tie for 3rd with MSU, UF, LSU - MSU is the 4-seed due to going 1-1 against other 2 teams, compared to 2-1 for LSU and 1-2 for UF.
3 way tie for 4th with MSU, UF, USC - MSU is the 4-seed due to best head-to-head
2 way tie for 4th UF - MSU is the 4-seed due to winning head to head.
Any 3-way tie for 3rd or 2 way tie for 4th that involves Auburn and/or LSU and no UF - 5 seed
2 way tie for 5th with USC - MSU is the 6-seed due to USC having better record against 1st place team (UK)

There is no scenario where we get the double bye without UF losing. So everybody should be big UK fans this weekend.

There's 9 teams in the sec in the top 60 of NET. Here's how many games the teams in top 4 have played/will play vs that group...

Kentucky 11/18
Auburn 11/18
LSU 11/18
Florida 10/18
Us 10/18
SC 10/18

SEC records of our conference opponents is 138-151 and only 1 of the teams we play twice is above 7-10. That's by definition a weak SEC schedule.

I just started with Kentucky to see what their sec oppo record was... it's 143-163. I included FL (Saturday game). In that schedule, they've played auburn, tenn, and Florida twice, so you can see how deceiving using record only is. If you want to see SOS for conf games only, you should use mean or avg RPI or NET for all opponents

One of you two is way off. You have UK’s opponents combined record over 306 games, patdog has combined records over 289 games. Not sure who is right.

I didn't count Bama twice. SEC record of our conference opponents is actually 146-160.

Difference is Kentucky is 13-5 in Q1 and Q2 games. You can get away with a weak schedule if you win the games you do have a chance to move up in the rankings.
