Think that was just strikeout #5 in two innings

Also, I don’t know much about Wright St, but they’re a better program than I realized. Beat three top ten teams last year including Ole Miss, and they finished 42-17.

Accounting for the possibility he could’ve just not wanted to disclose it, MacLeod himself said it wasn’t mono. One of the guys on the beat had mono and asked MacLeod back in the fall if that’s what he had last season. He said no.

Might be sarcastic, but I’m concerned about Ginn and his....uh, commitment to college baseball. We need 100% from him and hope foxhall can develop him. Fire away, but that is legit

I agree with you. I understand protecting a guys arm but 60 pitches is ********. If he can’t stretch out more than that without getting wore down Or hurt then he needs to be a reliever.

Impressive how many pitching coaches we have on this board that are clearly superior to Scott Foxhall.

I know nothing about baseball, but last year I talked to a scout (they are a talkative bunch) at the Dude and he said that most pitchers don't get enough work in college to prepare them for the minors/MLB. He made it sound like it is better for pitchers to go straight to professional baseball than pitch in college. IDK?

You don’t think that our coaches are also in communication with the same scouts? Ginn threw double the innings he ever has in any year or his career last season and will continue to ramp up this year. Know what you really don’t want to do? Blow out a first round arm in a money year by overworking it when there are clear indications that a guy isn’t yet ready for that kind of workload(losing velo, the sharpness on the breaker, etc... all of which could literally be seen thru a tv screen watching Ginn pitch at times last year).

Complaining about low pitch counts in cold temps on opening day with a guy who was fatigued last year is just people wanting to ***** about something. He’ll throw more when it’s time to throw more. If weather conditions improve I suspect we see him go 80-90 pitches next week, provided his stuff stays sharp

Dude, that's why I caveated what it wrote with, "I know nothing about baseball." I was merely relaying what a scout told me. I'm sure we have knowledgable coaches doing what they think is best. I'm not complaining about low pitch counts because I know nothing about what a pitch count should be.
