tl;dr - Solay is no longer selling online.

Thanks for the help in the mattress thread. I finally decided on Solay Sleep due to the length of the warranty, length of the trial, and them being based in Mississippi. Put one in the cart and went to check my frame to make sure it's going to fit. When I came back later the site wasn't working right. Eventually emailed them about it and they told me they are switching to a retail-only business model. No more online. I kinda whined about it because I literally had it in the cart. It takes me forever to make these decisions and I didn't want to start over. So they offered to take my order over the phone. They said the warranty and trial are still valid.

I'll give an update when I actually try the thing. Now I have to figure out which sheets to get because we've never had a king.

I refuse to pay those crazy prices for a mattress. I'm a somewhat of a germaphobe.... After a year or 2 max you know how much dead skin, dust mites, etc. are buried in those damn things? There are a couple of vendors I know that purchase 2nd's straight from the manufacture. They're all brand new. Might have a tag sewed on the wrong place, fabric not correct, etc. I can buy a $3,000-$5000 set for $300-$500. I'd rather replace mine every year & keep a new mattress than sleep on that nasty SOB 10 years because I have a warranty & overpaid.

You really should have made this commitment last week so it would be installed by tomorrow. Wiener Christmas only comes once a year.

I'm impressed you were interested enough to have an opinion on picking out a new mattress. Now you're actually picking out sheets too? Waaaaait a minute, is this Mark Dallas or Mrs Mark Dallas?

LOL I'm the type who obsesses over major purchases. It's more satisfying for me to do a bunch research and come to the demonstrably best choice. That's why this one was so tough; there is no way to objectively measure how well you're going to like a mattress. Usually I make spreadsheet to compare the choices but that wouldn't work this time.

Sheets may be even worse because there are 10 billion choices. Did you know you can buy Marriott sheets but they cost $450? I need to find a direct supplier.

Mark, take a look at Southern Drawl sheets...I know Michael Brooks (first guy in the video) - we do some business together. This is a solid company that makes a great bed sheet. I do know that Tom Brady and his super model wife sleep on these sheets. If you make a purchase, Brian Ponder (second guy in the video) will call you personally to thank you for your purchase (does this with everyone)....he’ll tell you about Brady if you’re interested.

What's the name of the mattress company that Matt Wyatt pushes on his show? It's a Mississippi company. Can't remember the name. Don't know if they are good or not. Just heard Wyatt mention them.

Staying in a Marriot tomorrow, those maids leave sheets in their buggies out in the hall. I'll find you a set for $350.

I honestly didn't know one could buy Marriott sheets for $450. I do know for a fact though I haven't spent a total of $450 on every sheet I've ever purchased in my life
