and hiring any swinging dick we can find. Let's actually try having a home court advantage for once like Auburn and Ole Miss have. Might require a little work on our part though which is way tougher than just crying like a little ***** on a message board anytime we lose a game.

With the above post, are you "crying like a little ***** on a message board?"

I love that the response to a blowout loss on the road is that we need a better homecourt advantage.

Well there is an aspect where our team never plays in front of a crowd worth a damn, and when they go on the road they get all that energy working against them.

i agree - basketball is 80% recruiting and i don’t thinke we can do better than what we have

Until we reseat and sell tickets to people in the lower bowl that are real basketball fans and not just rich Dogs and businesses with little to no intention of actually attending games that will never happen. But hey, we are pulling in revenue which is all the University cares about. Students are there for most games now in the lower bowl but the rest of it is always about half empty.

I think it's fair. We expect a hell of a lot more out of the basketball program than we (fans) are willing to put into it

What do i need to put in as a fan to not lose by 25 at a 3-7 opponent when ncaa hopes are on the line?

Exactly. We have/had basketball fans that will/would support the program. The athletic department just decided it didn't care about fan support anymore by kicking them out. If the women can fill it up then the men damn sure can if the admin really wanted it to happen.

Sucks we run into a red hot team. They blasted Florida, who needed it too

While I didn't expect us to get dominated, I'm really surprised that most MSU fans thought we would win that game last night. Was shocked that both Brian and Joel picked us to win on their podcast. OM has been red hot, has a player that can go off for 30+ at any time plus the fact that we are a lousy road team on most nights. I thought we had about a 25% chance to win at best. Arkansas right now is not playing as well as OM although I still expect us to lose that one on the road as well. IF we can win it though, there is still a decent chance for us to make the NCAA tourney.

The women's team doesn't seem to have much trouble drawing big crowds at home. It's amazing what winning will do for attendance.

Apples and oranges. MBB premium seats are significantly more expensive than any tickets for WBB. Fans of the women's BB team are actually able to buy those tickets. For men, you have a lot of richer MSU fans and business owners that just 'support the program' by paying the fee and buying the better tickets for no more reason than to enhance their Bulldog Club standing for football tickets and care little to nothing about ever actually going to a basketball game.
