Howland is a great recruiter and defensive coach but we really need help on offense. I remember how vic struggled on offense for awhile in his first few years here before he finally found something that worked. We really need an assistant coach who is a Brilliant offense mind that can help with this slow offense. Any thoughts?

He doesn't even have to join the staff. Just pop into the dressing room for some inspirational quotes before each game.

Where is Stan Jones these days.***

Richard Williams was the prototypical “defensive coach who needs help on offense.”

The something that worked was Victoria Vivians.

Haven’t thought about that guy in years. Looked him up and he’s been on FSU’s bench for 18 years. And he was inducted into the inaugural class of something called the college basketball assistant’ s HOF. How would you like to be the fundraising champion for that cause?

I don't think he needs help. Howland is in "just here to draw a fat paycheck" mode.

I respectfully disagree. Brooks and McCray suck.

No kidding. They are like tackling dummies. Paul Jones would argue that Brooks brings in the talent? My question has always been how many NCAA wins has that translated into?

I know there were extenuating circumstances with the recruitment of his son, but when Brooks couldn’t get him to Starkville, that was it for me. There’s a reason no one comes a calling for either brooks or McCray.

Sinking ship. Much like a Moorhead team they are not fun to watch. No excitement, just going through the motions. I never missed games when Stansbury coached. At least back then we ran plays and played defense.

Next year is going to be very tough for Howland. The latest mock draft that I just caught last night had Woodard going in the 1st round, and can you imagine this group next year without Ado, Carter, Perry, Woodard, and possibly even Weatherspoon?

I’m afraid that we’re in for a pretty ugly 1-2 year stretch
