Not that it matters when it comes to wins and losses, but....

This was definitely the biggest splash hire of the year. What's a bigger hire for any school in the past several years?

We took a massive dump all over UM's piddly poot of a hire. You know they are pissed.

And our marketing has been spectacular. Kudos to team Cohen.

The ride on the Pirate Ship will likely be smoother and more enjoyable than the ride on the Lane Train... the voyage will likely last longer too.

Y'all made the bigger splash of the 2 in-state hires. Leach took a middling program into a team that was regularly in the top 10 at Texas Tech. Congratulations!

It’s really not even close. Mike leach is a way better head coach and a much better personality than LK. Ole miss fans are pissed we stole their thunder. I’ve even seen a lot of them say they will be pulling for us and Leach when they aren’t playing us. . He’s easy to love that’s for sure.

Oh idk if I believe it but there’s a lot of their fans on their board that are obviously jealous and are saying they will be pulling for us now.

The ******* Ole Miss fans are making like Richard Cross and acting like we've made the worst mistake possible. One of the lines they keep giving me is "his scheme doesn't work in the SEC." It's what Cross said the day of Leach's hire.

But doesn't Lane's offense use a lot of passing. I don't believe Lane's a ground and pound first coach. As usual Cross is a petulant dick.

That's just their dumber-than-average fans with their latest "Oh ho hum we don't care about State or their hire. SEE! We're even rooting for Leach!" narrative.

One of our notorious MSU/Closet LSU fans has already proclaimed this as well.

I don't know why everyone thinks he will run the same offense when he will have offensive players that are nothing like he had at TTech and WSU. They keep bringing up numbers from the past like he not going to make any changes at all.

I've seen him change things to fit the athletes he had at TTech, I expected him to try to use a hybrid of his Air Attack.

Anyway, I'm 17ing tired up "up the middle, up the middle, incomplete pass - PUNT!"

They've wanted Leach for years.He turned them down when they fired Cutcliff. He turned them down when they fired Coach O. He turned them down after Freeze. Their fans wanted him after Luke. (Not sure if they offered this time). Every since he wrecked them when Eli was there, they have wanted him.

How many times has UM played against Leach as a Head Coach. Was he at Texas Tech when the Nutter team won the Cotton Bowl?

Golich and Wingo so the same thing yesterday morning on their nationally syndicated talk show. They said that Mississippi state was being talked about from north to south and coast to coast. They said “congratulations, Cohen...Well done...”. Can you imagine how much national press we’ll get at the start of the season?

They knock him for being 3-7 against Oklahoma. I would be pretty ecstatic if that was our record against Bama instead of the what 12 straight losses we have. I lost count.

Leach wouldn’t be a fit there, personality wise. Kiffin looks and acts the part of a “do you know who my diddy is” UNM douche. I’m not too sure he would put up with The Network shenanigans either.

Do you realize how much free marketing we are getting and will continue to get as long as Leach is here? Literally tens of millions (maybe hundreds of millions) of dollars. I don’t know if it can actually be quantified. It wouldn’t surprise me if Thursday essentially paid for his buyout at WSU if you count the value of how much national media time we got. It was being talked about of every sports radio show on XM, all over ESPN, etc for hours. Trended on Twitter for like 7 or 8 hours. The Kiffin hire got some, but not as much. I guess you could say UNM got a lot of free press a few years ago with Hugh and his phone logs, too.

Saban used to be the best press conference in the SEC because of how much he hates the press and the softball stupid questions they ask. We saw Kiffin look like he was being held hostage a few weeks ago in his presser. Leach just nailed his opening press conference and will only get better. He will get free national play on all the channels every week of football season because of the comedy gold.

At this point, I'd love 2 wins out of 10 against Bama. Still angry that Mullen couldn't pulled it off once with competitive teams.

You'll never convince me Mullen cared or was even trying to win games in November. He just wanted to get out of Starkvegas.
