With Will being a true freshman and considering fit on the others, I'd vote unknown transfer QB. Just a thought. The transfer thing has been good to Leach before and he's attractive to transfer QB's.

He completed 57% of his passes this season and 7.6ypa. That isnt stellar and is 50th-75th in the nation depending on the stat.

...of course there are many factors that go into such a stat besides just a QB not being able to throw well.

if he doesn't transfer, Shrader will start. Will Rogers will follow and backup. If Shrader transfers along with Key, we get a transfer portal qb. he might want to try to talk Key in to becoming the next Randall Cobb.

He also showed the ability at times to make multiple reads and make plays.

I'd think he gets a shot. Outside of Hill, nobody looked good in Moorhead's offense.

Not a bad fit, maybe just not a perfect fit. And Leach is obviously attractive to transfer QB's. I wouldn't be surprised, that's all. He opens up possibilities.

If you are suggesting that we get a new QB, I'm not really interested in another one of those.
If you are suggesting that we may lose some, I just can't see any transferring out right now, with Leach's rep for developing QBs.
