Is "Coach Search Fatigue" setting in for anyone else?

I'm just about ready for it to be done with one way or another at this point.

I'm certainly tired of it... and I'm well outside the fray of the area. no other bulldogs around me on a daily basis, yet this is what I get asked. as if I have a clue.

- is told it’ll be Tuesday before anything much happens
- total burnout by Monday morning

It has been 72 hours on a schedule that doesn’t force us into any big hurry.

It’s not coach search fatigue. It’s coach talk fatigue carried over to coach search. I’m just ready for something positive.

I don't have coach search fatigue, I've got a serious case of RUMOR fatigue though.

I'm sick of reading "my sources", like Cohen is calling all his friends telling them who it will be and then they are calling their friends, etc. I don't want to hear another mention of who it MIGHT be, don't want to hear anything else about it until Cohen announces it. If it takes a month, ok, I'm just tired of Twitter and Message Board warriors acting like they know what the hell they are talking about.

It's Monday. Coach was let go on Friday. I find this statement nearly unbelievable. Not doubting the sincerity of your feelings or post, but literally can't fathom wanting to rush a hire of this magnitude. You'll recall that Moorhead was announced very quickly? I'd prefer we make a timely hire, not a fast one.

Just disconnect for a few days and wait until you get a push notification from a sports app saying we've made the hire. I avoid these boards for a few days after bad things happen because I just don't enjoy hate posting, so I didn't hop on the boards after the bowl until my wife said to me "hey twitter says we fired Moorhead" and back I came for the search.

People were a little spoiled by how quickly Cohen’s other searches went. We knew Cannizaro was our baseball coach the same day Cohen was introduced as AD. Mullen left on a Sunday and Moorhead was hired the following Tuesday night. Lemonis was hired one day after our 2018 Omaha run ended.

My guess is we have our guy by Wednesday, maybe tomorrow. Press conference Thursday or Friday. Everything happening within the span of a week is a perfectly reasonable timeline.

Eh. I'm just sick of reading morons throw out threads like "What about Meyer?," or "Steve, chances on PJ Fleck?" That said, shame on me for expecting different.

I'm more suffering from "Idiots on the Internet Fatigue".

...but, I could just not read the boards, so that's my fault.

Nah. But ask about "Message Board Coach Search Posts Fatigue" and you might get a different response.
