Women’s team has a point guard.... Men’s team does not...

The men were also playing a Top 10 team while the women played one of the worst teams in the SEC.

Here’s the part you left off:

Men’s shooting % - 33.8
Women’s shooting % - 57.8%

How many assists did the women’s team have when they played someone competent? I looked it up for you—against Stanford, it was 7, with 34.8% shooting %.

Defense matters.

I get where you’re coming from, but It’s tough to get any assists when you can’t make a shot. Especially when you’re playing a Top 10/Final Four team.

And...how many inbound passes...from our own goal...did we have stolen yesterday? 2 or 3? We had 1 stolen to START the 2nd half during the game in Jackson in Dec also
That crap has GOT TO END!!
Should NEVER happen.

There are many reasons for such a low stat on the men's side. The fact that you dont recognize this and claim the simple assists stat as 'glaring' shows you should post less and read more.

It isnt a good stat, sure, but it also isnt as simple as you make it.

That is indicative of what men's basketball is today, and that is on Howland regarding this team in particular. You don't have to be a "Norman Dale" and make these guys pass it 6 times before taking a shot, but this team doesn't even try to move the ball around on the offensive end and make the opposing defense have to work.

Get prepared to be frustrated with this b-ball team.
