Did anyone just see Franklin's Oct 8 speech ?

[thatsbaseball]

Very similar to Moorhead's after the Eggbowl. Some almost verbatim.

So we need to search for this Oct 8th speech and then do the analysis ourselves?

It was replayed during the ESPN Cotton Bowl broadcast. He stated that it was his team, his players etc etc because some fan had reportedly criticized one of his players' appearance. Reporter then said that that speech had "galvanized" the program from that point in a positive way. Some of the statements and the general tone were very much like Moorhead's post Eggbowl speech.

Did not realize that coach Franklin was from Africa but announcers pointed that out early and often. I thought he might be Sicilian. Heck of a good coach though.

Thanks. And I hope it ultimately helps. Sure rubbed our fans the wrong way at the time.

Unsanctioned club. Can't seem to follow the first rule.

A Penn State fan in a letter told a star player he shouldn't wear dreadlocks. The fan was nice about it, but he absolutely shouldn't have done it, and the whole fanbase turned on the fan. And of course the team and coaches supported the player.
