I feel for ya brother. At the same time, we need y’all in the cellar. If you wanna switch places with OM, that’d be ok.The early signing period has been around for what, 3 years now? And Arkansas has had a new coach for two of them. Just pretty awful luck. Even Bielema's first class he was able to salvage and get up to #23 because he had more time.
Morris had us up to #23 as well before he started getting blown out as the season went on and it fell to #50, then after he was fired a lot of Texas recruits decommitted and we fell to #118 with only 6 commits. It's not really Pittman's fault that he can't sign a lot of guys in only 10 days on the job. Morris just left us in an awful situation. Not a whole lot you can do about it except try to convince some guys to wait until February to sign and hope to keep building relationships with them.
If he can even get it to #50 that would be a success IMO. Going to have to hit the transfer and JUCO market hard.
I don't. I think it's funny as hell. Even funnier is watching them hold onto their superiority that has long since left on a motorcycle ride nearly a decade ago.I feel for ya brother. At the same time, we need y’all in the cellar. If you wanna switch places with OM, that’d be ok.
Just flipped a 4* DB from Oregon. Average player rating per 247 is at .8649 or about 33rd in the nation. So while Arkansas isn't adding numbers yet in this class, quality is better than vandy and Mizzou and roughly in line with Ole Miss.
Nobody really expects you to finish 119. I imagine it will get up above 50. And if YESSIR is a good coach, none of it will matter.Just flipped a 4* DB from Oregon. I say screw the coaches. They get paid millions, move around all the time, and the players don't get to do that. So eff em, I say there SHOULD be a penalty for firing your coach, and for a new coach to get a new job. And there should be a reward for continuity.yeah the early signing bonus hurts new coaches. i'm surprised they haven't made tweaks to the signing day. works great for coaches who didn't get fired. that should never be a reason to keep a terrible coach though.
I object to your use of the word "luck" in this instance. The early signing period has been around for what, 3 years now? And Arkansas has had a new coach for two of them. Just pretty awful luck. Even Bielema's first class he was able to salvage and get up to #23 because he had more time.

He’s right. It’s still ‘Arkansas’ fault, even if it’s not the coaches fault. I don’t care why you suck, it’s ‘that’ you suck.Lol I mean the ESD didn't exist when we had Nutt for 10 years, or even Bielema for 5, it started when we had the worst coach in our history take us to the two worst records in our history, and just compounds it. It's bad luck for new coaches because it puts them behind the 8-ball with a below average class right out of the gate and none of it is their fault.
