This area in Louisiana will progress eastward thoughout the day. Anyone from Starkville south should really watch things because these cells are discrete and ramping up fast.

I just landed at DFW. We were lucky to get in. A couple hour delay, and I noticed the a several of the afternoon flights into DFW were cancelled.

If you’re around Grenada to south of jackson, I’d be finding somewhere safe for a little while.

Another new watch now covering the NW quadrant of Alabama, maybe a little more east on the north end. Goes to about 11 tonight.

A meteorologist friend of mine said it looks like it’s going to be worse in the southern part of the state. There was a tornado track in Pike and Lincoln counties that he was a bit concerned about.

It was nasty as hell a little north of Tupelo just before 4pm. I'm assuming that was the worst of it for us.

Just saw a video my cousin took of a tornado over Guntown north of Tupelo. It wasn’t on the ground but looked as though it would touch down any second.

Pretty nasty looking tornado near Courtland, Alabama (west of Decatur, about halfway to the Shoals), heading toward Athens. Damage in some neighborhood in the Shoals area also.

That tornado went a few miles north of my house when it crossed I-65. We were in the hall bathroom and it sounded like a train going by the house.

I saw friends post and share photos on Facebook. Looks like it was the same storm system that was in Columbia earlier this afternoon.
