If they were putting all their eggs in the Kiffin basket then they are not very smart. He wasn’t even OM’s first choice, they would be hiring Norvell if he wanted to come there. There are a bunch of mid major head coaches that would be a better choice than promoting the interim or hiring a retread. Don’t feel like this is as hard as some schools seem to make it.

However, if they continue to be rejected, they will have to eventually go with the interim... at this point the program really seems to be in the worst shape of all programs in the west .

Aren’t they supposed to have a huge bucket of resources as well or is that just hearsay because I keep hearing they are nearly Texas AnM rich but I personally wonder how is that?

There is a ton of money in Northwest Arkansas. You have Tyson, job hunt, Jerry Jones, and Walmart. Then you have all of the companies that got extremely rich off of these companies, especially Walmart.
The Reynolds aluminum people (name on stadium) are in Arkansas too.
