If the decision was he’s gone no matter what, last night can’t change that. If it was he needs to win to save his job, last night should change that. That was about the worst played, unimpressive win I’ve ever seen. Really, the only positive I saw was the players did seem to play hard, which has not always been the case this season. But they didn’t play smart, or well at all. It’s time for Cohen to earn his paycheck.

People are freaking out because we didn’t fire him right after the game. That would have been a horrible way to handle things. I still think Sunday or Monday it starts to leak out he’s gone.

Tenures should never come down to 1 game, IMO. If you’re to the point of “If she’s late for dinner one more time, I’m getting a divorce”, you probably should have ended things a while back.

If no move is coming, the whole thing looks mismanaged by the AD.

Forcing out a coach with two bowl appearances and two Egg Bowl wins after two years on the job would be one of the boldest things we’ve ever done. If you are counting on him leaving on his own because he wants out, that press conference last night should tell you that he’s not planning on going anywhere if it’s up to him.

With all that in mind, I expect him to be back next year, and anything else would be a surprise to me.

I'm holding out hope that some school offers him and he accepts. I can't imagine him staying if offered.

You tell him he’s got to fire his QB coach, ST coach, S&C coach, and hire an OC. That’s the minimum requirement to keep the job. If he refuses, fire him.

If Joe stays, he needs an offensive coordinator who will call plays. The suspensions didn’t really have much to do with offense. Minor injuries aside, the offense has looked putrid both seasons with very little creativity.

If there's a possibility that something is in the mill re another job there may be no comment made about his status for now. It seems kind of strange to me that apparently Cohen has been missing in action as far as any comment at all after the game unless I missed it.

How does it look mismanaged? Assuming all the rumors are just that and he hasn’t even been thinking about firing Joe, it may be the wrong decision but I don’t understand the term mismanaged. Seriously curios as to what you mean.

I was originally told Monday. If that day passes without an announcement then it probably ain't happening.

He means that he believes an entirely unsubstantiated rumor about Moorhead already being gone. And if that doesn’t happen then it will be because Cohen somehow unfired him rather than accept that he probably bit on some rumor.

Edit: having said that I’m on board with a change but have been in the I’ll believe it when I see it camp.

This is where I am. We need a change of leadership and direction. New head coach. Period. But I’ll believe our leadership will force the issue when I see it. We’ve taken the awww shucks he beat UMiss road too many times in the past to believe they have the stones to do it.

That’s all well and good in fantasy land but who worth a damn will come here knowing it, in all likelihood, is a one year gig? Nobody

There is only one thing I would say they botched if he stays. Everybody and their mama has been calling the Athletic Department for comment. If you were keeping him no question then say that. Instead they have been giving no comment.

We’d have to have an agreement in place already. Or, you simply guarantee them 4 years. We paying $4M+. People will want the job.

He’s talking about the fantasy some have of forcing changes to JoMos staff. And I agree no self respecting OC or other coaches will want to sign on for a most likely one year Ride.
