....is we were never going to beat Alabama today, and there's no shame in losing to them.

Here is my issue though....

Coming off a bye week, you crap the bed on the opening kickoff and get a penalty on top of it. Then you throw a pick on your first offensive play from scrimmage. Then you don't cover the back out of the backfield on the very next play for a touchdown (we didn't do a very good job of covering the back all game). I gotta ask the question: what the hell are these coaches doing during bye weeks?

Losing to Alabama in and of itself is not a tragic result. But coming out looking unprepared, making silly mistakes, falling ahead early, and not even having a pulse on offense - these things are themes...they happen every week.

It's time for someone who has the best interest of Mississippi State University at heart to step up and fix this. If you're reading this and still think we need to keep this coaching staff, you fall into one of two categories:

1) You don't have the best interest of our university at heart
2) You're not intelligent enough to know the difference.

It was a great day in Starkville and a beautiful day for football, though, so it wasn't all bad. I just wish I had a reason for hope or optimism with this program under this coach.

Drebin, you nailed it, brother. I can’t add a thing to this, except to say that the more time this staff has to prepare, the worse they look. Did we break a record for the number of games started with a penalty? Has any team ever even done it twice?

He HAS to go, regardless of the outcome of the rest of the season.

Does anyone know what the deal was on those 2 kickoffs? Did we have to use Christmann and he just sucked, or did we choose to use Christmann because we were trying to hit really high kicks?

Either way, Joey Jones struck again.

I heard during our off week that we did 1 day of lifting, 2 days of light practice, and the rest of the week our coaches were off crootin'. Just 2nd hand information, but still good enough for Congress...and like them, my whistleblower will remain anonymous.

So what you're saying is our coaches spent most of the week bolstering our recruiting, and then spent sixty minutes today undoing all of it.

Listing to the post game interview on my home Moorhead said their goal was to kick it high, to the 20 to 20 yard line and have Bama call for a fair catch to keep them from returning it. The first was a bad attempt.

Good point. I don't see how a coach on this team can look a recruit in the eye and tell him we're headed in the right direction.

I am VERY interested to see how recruiting plays out.

It's one of the biggest reason we should pull the plug now. Luke is getting another year so we have to pull the band-aid off right now. If we keep Moorhead, we're going have a bad flipmas, and then face the prospects of competing with Ole Miss for a coach next offseason. I'd rather go get the coach I want now and get this thing headed into a different direction. Then we will be better positioned next year to capitalize on Ole Miss's impending **** show.

I think that it was our own Joel Coleman who made a great analogy the other day about a date not quite working out, and there are times when you at least consider a second date, and there are time when you realize before dinner even comes out that it just ain't working. There's no point in wasting any more of anyone's time after that

I feel like we're at that point. The marriage just isn't working, and it's time to do what's best for all parties involved so that everyone can move on before this think gets ugly

To add to the misery , after the game I walk to the mailbox and what do I see? A bill from the BDC reminding me that I still owe them the other half of my seat pledge.

I feel your pain. All I can say is like the Japs with actor Slim Pickens in the movie "1941", State ain't getting **** out of me in 2020!

We gotta get some WRs in here to have any chance with this offense.

We've got WRs. They aren't Bama-level, but they're adequate. Our problem is scheme and play calling. You've got guys like Zuber, D. Thomas, and Malik Dear that should be getting the ball quickly in space, but instead, we have them running option routes and hoping the QB is making the same read and has time to get rid of it. It's just terrible.

I'll keep giving to the BDC, but I'll ask to earmark it for baseball or something like that.

I mean, what are they gonna do? I already have this years tickets and at this point I have no intention on renewing for next year.

Oh, I’m going to pay it. It’s just sad that the only way that we have of expressing our displeasure with the university, hurts the athletes when they need the support more than ever.

I would have liked to be in the meeting when they decided” Hey it’s Alabama week, let’s mail bills to all the season ticket holders who still owe us money” nothing like a guaranteed *** whooping to make you want to write a check.

We’re a vertical passing attack (at least in theory). I wouldn’t spend much time worrying about “5’9 in space”.

We have athletes who can make plays. The scheme is the problem. So I think you're saying the same thing I am.

When you’re 127th in the country in allowing yards after the catch, your problem is more than just offense and special teams.
It’s bad all over.

Moorhead is an idiot and an alarmingly bad fit for our university. What else needs to be said?
