Rudolph (the non-red nosed qb) got his helmet ripped off by Myles Garrett maybe and Garrett proceeds to try and hit in the head with his own helmet. Pandemonium breaks loose...

These two teams play again in a 2 weeks. Gotta think Garret and Pouncey are looking at multiple game suspensions.

Rudolph was lucky that helmet crown didn’t find its mark and got the back flange

Probably a good thing they don’t play again this season. But, Revenge is a dish best served chilled.

They HAFTA make an example out of that animal. Talk about inhumane.

edited to say they Do play again in 2 weeks, I was thinking that tie was this season, instead it was last year

In terms of punishment, is there anyone that would have a good answer of where the nfl goes from here in terms of punishment? Year long, career ending?

He should never play another down of organized football. That was felony assault.

Two years max
Two years? If he had connected as aimed with that helmet the guy would have died. He shouldn't get a break because he missed. If he every plays in the NFL again, the league should disband.

I would guess he is done this season and maybe leak over into next season as well. Garrett has issues

Year long suspension is sufficient. Rudolph yanked on his helmet first and tried pulling it off. Then Garrett went bezerk. The optics look way worse than the result. Rudolph was perfectly fine to call another Brown a ***** five seconds afterwards so let's not act like he's spending the night in the hospital here by permanently banning Garrett from the NFL. Blood-thirsters have their new target though and won't listen to anything else said on this subject here on.

Think of the worst possible reaction you can imagine and then read this:

Year long is probably right but how bad it could have been is the main point. Garrett wasnt thinking at all, it is just chance that he didnt smash him with the crown of that helmet.

I’m replying to the comment that Rudolph was pulling Garrett’s helmet off first.
"The wild melee started when Rudolph dumped a pass to running back Trey Edmunds late in the fourth quarter, then was dragged to the ground by Garrett. Rudolph appeared to try and dislodge Garrett's helmet while they were on the ground, before the Browns defensive end ripped off the QB's helmet once they stood up, taking a swing with it and connecting on the top of Rudolph's helmet-less head."

I think it should be, but to play devil's advocate, so should intentionally plunking someone with a 99 mph fastball.

How bad it could of been is exactly why it's a year long suspension. That's an unheard of suspension in length that's probably only been handed out a few times if ever in the league's entire history. Again Mason is perfectly fine after the fact. He started the ****, ran his mouth the entire time plus afterwards and now gets to enjoy the satisfaction he got Garrett so triggered he got himself banned for a year.

Hey that’s great, I can watch the replay too and he’s grabbing his face mask. I don’t see where he’s pulling his helmet off.

Did you not read the part of the text I bolded? Like it or not, Rudolph was grabbing at MG's helmet first, when they were both down on the ground. Hell, tune into NFL network.

Props to Cleveland for finding entertaining ways to stay a dumpster fire.

Being a talented train wreck is much better tv.

People acting like Mason is a victim here crack me up. Garrett's reaction is inexcusable and he should get 16 games straight up minimum, but Mason Rudolph is NOT a victim. He should 100% be suspended as well, probably 2-4 games, for kicking Garrett in the nuts and then trying to pull his helmet off as well. The fact Rudolph also ran back to Garrett when DeCastro clearly had it under control and Garrett was under control. Then he went nuts.

But they can both be guilty here. I am not advocating for Garrett but just stating Mason, while not nearly as guilty, is absolutely guilty as well.
