[FONT=&quot]"The key hire to unlock all of LSU’s talent came from pass game coordinator Joe Brady, who stands to make millions after eviscerating a Nick Saban defense for those 559 yards. Brady brought the New Orleans Saints’ quick pass game and combined it with Joe Moorhead’s innovative RPO game to build an unstoppable offense. Credit LSU’s play-calling for remaining aggressive in the fourth quarter of a tight game, much like they did at Texas earlier in the season."

I wish Moorhead could innovate at state. I’m tired of hearing about it otherwise.

My thought is LSU’s got a hell of a lot more talent to operate that offense. And a Heisman candidate senior quarterback. We have a transfer who has been injured most of the season and a true freshman.

Moorhead looked like a genius at Penn State when he had elite talent compared to his peers. Brady is a good coach, but he is working with a fantastic roster. No guarantee that he would produce similar results here.

If we put up nice offensive numbers against OM, it will be a nice second half of the season on offense. Especially considering the QB injuries.

Thoughts: We will never beat the Alabama’s and the LSU’s by trying to copy them.

This☝🏻Guy gets it. Mississippi State will never ever be LSU or Alabama level in football. We need an innovative coach who can scheme an offense that can confuse our opponents and a defense that plays with reckless abandon even though they will burn it on occasion. A guy that can consistently get us 7 or 8 wins with a 10 win year every 4 or 5 years. If any State fan expects more, they may need to become Alabama or LSU fans.

And not to discredit what Burrows is doing this year, but it sure helps when you have six different receivers that can go up and get the ball against pretty much any defender in the country. There were at least 9-10 times yesterday where all Joe had to do was put the ball in a zip code, and he knew his guys would get it. I honestly don't think we have a single receiver that would even make the LSU roster this year

Even if we looked like the '99 Rams, Joe would get no credit at all from most of the fans.

But Moorhead is collecting a great WR corp. Like somebody here stated... Has something like 6 four star wrs coming in or are already here. Marks is coming in, you have 2 great OTs.

So here is to Moorhead and his success.

Isn’t LSU finally doing what they should have been doing all along. Running a spread offense and throwing slants and crossing routes with their elite receivers. And take a deep shot every now and then.

Well, how about we catch up to the Colorado St rams by at least cracking the top 60 in the country before we start worrying about an NFL team

Joe will credit from fans when he does something to earn it

The key quote there to me was "the Saints' quick passing game"

Why can't Moorhead merge his system with a quick passing game? That's what is clearly missing in his offense.

That is my big knock on our offense. It seems like we have almost no passing plays for a quick throw. If our Oline can't block for 4 seconds then it is either a sack or busted play. Shrader has turned those busted plays into positive yards.

5 star athletes all over the field. A coach that recruits well and knows the people and school. He finally understood he had to adapt. He got a transfer qb that turned out to be very good. Probably the best they have ever had. He wanted to pass better so he got a passing game coordinator who had been with the saints. Moorhead might would make a good OC at a school like bama or LSU but it hasn’t translated to being a competitive head coach at Mississippi state or producing a competitive offense

Well that would actually make him be an offensive guru. Offensive gurus tailor their system to what they have. KT would be looking good in a power run spread. But Joe wants all his QBs solving trig problems in the pocket.

I think that’s the parking. It’s obvious that Brady picked up more from the saints than he did from Moorhead. He is just using small pieces or Moorhead’s stuff while implementing more of what the saints do

I think it's obvious Joe's offense only works in certain situation depending on the defense. Brady's a smart guy and figured this out quickly. He took the basic elements of Joe's offense and married it with what he saw with the Saints. I doubt Joe is going to over haul his offense. We'll see next year if the light bulb has finally gone off but I doubt it.
