How good can Promise Taylor be this year?

She was an All-SEC Freshman, but hasn't played any basketball in over a year. I think she is key to this team being really good this year. Vic says she has no stamina yet, and that will only get better.

Thankfully that is not true. She played 10-15 minutes for us in a closed scrimmage against Houston this weekend and apparently played relatively well, particularly on defense. Per HD6’s interview with Vic, she is healthy but she has to get caught up on her conditioning.

at Maroon Madness she labored up and down the court and got two rebounds in 5 minutes of running clock playing time .

She was completely a non factor in the scrimmage at The Hump last Thursday. She looked slow, lethargic, and almost, lazy. Hopefully it's a slow recovery problem. This was unlike Bibby who showed no signs she blew out a knee 10 months ago, she appeared to have no lasting effects from it. She didn't score much (if at all) in limited time but she looked physically to be back in good shape and not favoring the knee

Promise’s issue with conditioning is that she was in a lesser S&C program at Ole Miss and then almost immediately had a major foot injury here and hasn’t gotten to get up to speed yet. Chloe was already in really good shape before the injury and is therefore father along.

Also, a reconstructive ankle procedure isn’t the same as the the whole ACL/MCL procedure.

Comparing her recovery to Chloe’s is comparing apples to oranges.
