Does the new NCAA rules legitimize the bag man?...

It means Texas is going to start recruiting better than Alabama....Texas is going to profit big time from this with their massive fanbase.

Texas and Texas A&M should be in the top 4 every year but they have WAY too many cooks in the kitchen.

If either ever finds a Type A, pure CEO to run it all in front or behind the scenes, they will take over the NCAA.

Are yall not aware of the IRS and state tax commissions? If not, heads up, they're kinda noteworthy for checking up on sources of income.

I predict that “arrested for unpaid income taxes” will now replace “arrested for suspended license / unpaid traffic ticket” as the bread and butter for offseason Fulmer Cup points totals.

How do you stop the boosters today? I'm just talking about what I suspect the NCAA rules will be. Of course, schools will find ways to get around those rules, just like they do today.

I would.. If you could build a loyal customer base from either the Bulldog or Shark faithful you'd have a successful business.... Such as.. open a car dealership that caters strictly to MSU folks and uses MSU athletes in its advertising. Maybe let your cousin open up a dealership down the road that does the same thing with the other school.

It'll become like CNN and Fox News.

I'm guessing 247 will have to start paying $599 to athletes for interviews. The second interview, mama makes $599.

They don’t get around the rules today. They just blatantly break them with no repercussions whatsoever. The NCAA is just a completely pointless organization at this phase of the game. They are acquiescing the best they can to the big schools wishes in order to stay relevant, but they no longer serve any sort of purpose (especially for D1 football, where they don’t even crown a champion or have any involvement with the playoff). Everyone would keep more money in their pockets if the Power 5 just broke off entirely and formed their own governing body, that they paid a paltry amount to for the regulation and selection of tourney teams. The NCAA is now just wasted, useless overhead in the economic machine that is big time college sports.

I'm guessing appearances on behalf of the university are a part of their scholarship. Much like playing in football games on Saturday.

Not if they are getting paid for their NAME, image and likeness.

Unless you think they are writing some other word on the poster....

And it's an easy way to have all the athletes get money.

A ton of places around here put Hokies stuff in their stores or in commercials... but I'm like 45 minutes from VT.
