Should hold it at the Mid-South Coliseum and let Jerry Lawler and Dave Brown be the guest pickers.

Just saw that Memphis has released an allotment of tickets for $9.01 in order to do everything they can to fill the place up for Saturday

Would our administration ever do that? Why do I feel like it would be more likely to double ticket prices in an effort to capitalize on a nationally televised prime time game?

Well to be fair, if we were good enough to host game day, we wouldn’t have an issue selling out.

Seems odd

Dayum.... Gary Parrish reports... they are placing the set on Beale.

I thought you were kidding. What a joke.

They have a pretty cool area for tailgating right outside the stadium. I forget what they call it, but every parking space borders a grassy area with more than enough room for a tent and it has electrical hookups for every spot. I think they get a pretty big turnout for big games.

Tiger lane. It would have been a perfect spot for gameday just off Tiger Lane. However move it to Beale and the city of Memphis gets people in the bars downtown during what is typically a slow hour of the day.

Uhhh.... we have mini-packs for sec games (not g5) that are about $30 a piece for tickets. We have a buy one Bama ticket get the next game free promotion.

Memphis charged $55 for Ole Miss tickets this year and $10 for Tulane and now $9 for SMU. Sounds like fleecing Of the sec fan to me.

He's still commentator on Raw. My son was watching it last night and I was like, holy crap - that's Jerry Lawler. Thought he retired years ago.

You AD bashers are going a little overboard. Nothing our AD is doing is out of line with any other SEC AD. I get it, when things are bad, people latch onto anything, but some of ya'll are getting way too deep in the ****.

For the record, I have no beef(at the moment) with John. My negativity is directed towards the last ten years that our athletic department has managed the fan base

From the destruction of the Hump’s atmosphere and convincing fans to bend over while buying bowl tickets from the university to the currently ridiculous cost of football tickets and overselling premium parking spots. Stricklin was the absolute worst when it came to this, but every move they’ve made in recent history has been a cash grab rather than even pretending to share success with the fans, and I frankly don’t care what other SEC schools are doing. I’ve always loved MSU because I’ve felt we were different from the rest, but even our school has turned into big business

When business is good, the above formula can work. When business is bad, don’t be surprised when shareholders sell

If Lawler isn't available or not interested, Rampage Jackson should be next on the list.

They do actually. But not for big games. The time we had Gameday standing room was $65.
