If you're employed to give unbiased opinions, I'm not sure what else you could say.

We have some young talent but if he is referring to the absolutely god awful roster management by Mullen and the previous staff, I’d have to say he is correct.

“Nothing to build on”? Really? We’ve got a grade A quarterback who’s a freshman. He may be no Tia, but he’s pacing better than Dak and with a new coach he may do really well. I’m not pumping sunshine, but the glass isn’t half-empty like most think it is. It is bleak, but it can also be fixed quickly right now if acted upon properly.

My thing is, if he says that about us...he should be saying it about the other 3 or 4 teams that are in the same boat.

He said bottom 4 so apparently he is saying there are 3 others. And it's pretty obvious we are bottom 4. We have a bunch of freshmen to build on tho

I understand, so I’m questioning whether he says the same thing about Vanderbilt, and Arkansas, and I guess either OM or UK.

How can anyone say we have nothing to build on when we are starting a true freshmen at QB with obvious talent, and recruiting is going very well.

One can say we can’t win games because of toughness or culture or whatever, but we definitely have some positives to build on. Whether Joe is the one that does it or not.

So this is the narrative now?

Not saying Joe doesn’t share in the blame by any means. I am saying it is a multitude of things that include poor roster management, coaching and tutorgate to name a few. We could have probably overcome 1 possibly even 2 of those issues but with those three and other minor issues we will struggle to see 6 wins. The roster management however applies to this thread more than the others....

Doering before the 2018 season

During a segment on SEC Now, which you can see here, Doering says he thinks Mississippi State will go 11-1 this season.
“That’s my surprise team,” he says. “I went through the schedule predictor and I have them going 11-1, with their only loss being to Alabama. That could give them an opportunity to be in the mix (for the College Football Playoff), depending on how things shake out.”

He was right to predict that in 2018. Any offense with a pulse would have ridden that defense to 11-1.

I bet if you asked if Moorhead should be fired,

and to change his tune the way he has is all about his opinion of Croomhead

he'd tell you needs AT LEAST another year. How quickly the sports media turns on MSU in a way they would never do to Texas A&M or Tennessee or even Arkansas.

He's the worst on the SEC network. When asked which of the underdogs had the highest probability of pulling an upset this past Saturday his answer was Arkansas.

Auburn 51 - Arkansas 10

I remember when Swan Lake blew up because somebody compared to us to Kansas during the Croom era. They actually got mad.
