We had far worse games against far worse LSU teams under Mullen. I thought we played pretty well against the best LSU team in.......... Well ever. I've been as POed as anyone about Moorhead this season, but I think he deserved a break today. We played a far more talented team.

The only thing I was impressed with was the defense. They should have given up sixty. Everything else was regrettable

Mullen lost worse with better teams against weaker LSU teams.... but whatever.

Almost everyone is done with Moorhead

The guys played harder and that's good. Shrader is a positive but we still have regressed big time under Joe. Hard to be positive. Beat a&m on the road and I may change my pov.

We had one game worse in terms of score differential: 2013's 59-26 beatdown. Otherwise, the score differentials were better than today's 23 points.

Don’t ruin the narrative for folks today. I’m surprised so many bought that bs today as being better. Better than last week. Barely. We still only put up 13. Freaking Vandy put up 38. Full Effort should be a given every game not after getting your *** beat by Tennessee the week before and everyone saying you suck. I saw some different wrinkles in the offense today but it still only effectively gave us 13. The defense played a little up today until they lost focus and started giving up big plays. Let’s also not forget LSU and Florida both had a big game last week. Both came out a little flatter than usual this week but picked it up in the second half. It’s frustrating watching other teams play above expectations every week and play competitively every week and put up more than freaking 30 points in sec games. I would take an average of 21 a game in the sec right now. For an offensive genius it shouldn’t be that hard.

At the end of the day we played hard, looked better, and still lost by more than 3 TD’s at home. That reminds me of the sunshine pumping that was done during the early parts of the Rick Ray era. “Hey we lost by 25 but bless their hearts they did their best”

I mean sure, today was better than the 63-10 beat down I thought it might be. But there are no real positives to take from today. I had no expectations of winning so I’m not really mad or anything, but I’ve lived through the days of being content with only losing by 3 TD’s, I don’t have much interest in going back to that.

It may not be that our defense played better in each LSU drive inside the 10 that ended up with 3 FGs. It could have been the first quarter let down by them you expect after an emotional win last week over the Mullenators.

We may have just been fortunate it wasn’t 21-0 instead of those 3 stall outs by them.

So is the glass half full or half empty after today? Hmm.

I'll say this

We played hard. And we had some impressive stretches of play. There were times where our athletes played with theirs. But there was no time LSU was as disorganized as we were. We gave up some big plays before the ball was snapped. And on the offensive side, we had some huge penalties that killed promising drives early.

We played with them for 20 minutes. And when we got momentum, the personal foul facemask happened. Then we started with missed assignments, failed communication, dead ball penalties, etc. That crap that cannot happen.

Joe’s coaching for his job, and playing hard against LSU and Bama ain’t gonna do anything for him. He’s got 4 other games on our schedule he better figure out how to win.

Dumbass because I’m giving him the full season before I judge him, or dumbass because I want him fired if we finish with 4 or 5 wins but “play hard”?

I made the drive to Knoxville last week to watch that shitshow, and sat in the scorching heat to watch us lose to KSU. I can count on one hand the number of home games I’ve missed since 2009. I’ve been to every bowl game starting with Crooms liberty bowl. Yesterday is the first game in 10 years I can ever remember leaving with more than 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. I’ve completely lost interest in our football team due to the terrible performances - and don’t even get mad anymore. This was my only game related post Saturday so I wasn’t melting down or anything. But a moral victory yesterday means nothing to me. He’s got 4 winnable games left to prove he’s capable of at least halfway fixing this mess he’s got us into.

I like his increased intensity- he should have been coaching all previous 19 games like he did yesterday. But I fear it’s too little too late. I’m not sure a coach can change his persona after 1.5 years and the players buy in.

I thought yesterday was one of the first times you could actually see our offensive concepts. Shrader is the first QB we’ve had on campus that can actually begin to process information fast enough.

I'm sure none of yall picked up on this but if you watched the game you would have heard the announcer stating that Brady was a graduate assistant under Joe and that that was what Joe's offense looks like when you have talented players running it. And yes yes...I know Brady worked with the Saints for a year.

People aren’t actually upset about losing to LSU. It’s residual frustration left over from the two turrible loses earlier this season (KSU and Tennessee).

ETA: Also frustrated that we really have no shot to upset anyone because our offense shows no sign of life against any defense with comparable or better talent.

Joe Brady vs. Joe Moorhead was literally one of the biggest storylines of the game last week. Everyone was talking about it. The athletic had two big national stories on it.

Don't apologize for your opinion. Just get ready to hear the wailing and gnashing of tooths.

We did play better against a very, very good opponent. Hopefully, we can build on this instead of regress.

I wanna argue but the offense was offensive outside of a couple of players. I'm just kind of tired of having to talk about the same **** over and over.

Not because of anyone's post, but because we keep doing the same stupid **** over and over.
